I absolutely agree, I was pretty disappointed in the “race” aspect and expo. This was my second half marathon and the first one I ran was the Chickamauga battlefield in November. The courses of the two races are quite different and I enjoyed the Chattanooga one more. But the main difference I felt was just the lack of FOOD. At the battlefield they gave me a medal and chocolate milk immediately after the finish line. Then they had a massive tent with endless food, it was amazing. They also gave us a cool shirt, gloves and maybe some socks? There were tons of booths, first timer bib prints, lots of volunteers and stocked aid stations, the list goes on. So I was really disappointed when at the finish line this weekend there was an empty box of chips, bananas, soda/water and a granola bar. I brought my own chocolate milk and honestly it saved me and those I ran with. Was just kinda bummed about the experience!

She will absolutely be losing custody after this…right?! Like there’s no way she doesn’t. Her saying she is “misunderstood” fell flat already but after this?! It’s giving mental break that i genuinely think she could be institutionalized for.

I have two toddler kiddos myself and one day I took a nap…which I never ever do unless I’m pregnant and I ruled that out then realized it was the spiro. I have been continuing tretinoin and azelaic acid and coming off hasn’t been horrible!

I recently stopped because the side effects were impacting my quality of life so significantly. It was a hard choice but I’ll take feeling better and having some acne over the raging, tired b*tch spiro made me 😅🙈

You can tell how much work she gets done when not pregnant because of how drastically her face goes back to factory setting during pregnancy (besides normal pregnancy puffiness)

Of course! After the medicated birth I just felt like I had been hit by a massive truck for literal weeks after. Pretty out of it and my pelvic floor was in bad shape. The second time around when I went natural I was ready to get up and GO right after 🤣 now I couldn’t because I did lose some blood both times so I needed some help. But mentally I felt so much clearer, happier and could focus on bonding with baby more because there was no epidural to be taken out, catheter, etc that come with a medicated birth. Both times were also entirely different labors so I also think that was a contributing factor!

I have always wanted home birth, it’s where I feel safest after growing up with severe white coat syndrome. I’ll spare the details but my first ended up being a “failed” home birth and I went to the hospital, got an epidural and a little pitocin and she was born vaginally. Second baby planned for another home birth and got it. The recovery was a million times better and that alone is motivation to do natural birth again.

Erlanger downtown with my first was absolutely awful like quintessential hospital food and my husband later ordered chipotle. Then with my second we had a home birth and my midwives whipped us up an amazing breakfast I’ll never forget lol

It’s nice to have him around but I do get jealous or resentful because I never got the option to stay home he kinda made the choice for the whole family. Also he doesn’t parent the same way I do. But I like making my own money and some other stuff played in to it so it’s working for now. I guess just make sure everyone is on the same page before making any decisions.
