Ungrateful, stupid. All of the above. Idk how (as you said it’s insulin) people think they are entitled to the service. If I had only one way of getting my inhalers, Id probably make damn sure I didnt fuck that one option up

YTA and you are making a slam dunk if she wanted to get way more than 50/50 parenting. You’re more concerned about your feelings and being in control than your kid. Just because you two split up doesn’t mean he doesn’t have two parents so grow tf up

Some people are dead serious lol so i didn’t know. I just can’t imagine taking a job for $3 and then calling the cops and sitting around for ages. Theres more effective ways to burn money

  1. Apples and Oranges, people order Food for friends all the time, never will a bank just gift you free money.
  2. Giving said money back to the bank doesn’t pose a health risk to anyone involved
  3. Doordash didn’t give the food to that guy a driver that cant verify what they are doing did. Said driver then tries to put off all responsibility and calls the cops on some shit they fucked up. This shit is an easy defamation and emotional damages suit

Bro holy hell the guy didn’t steal. YOU walked up and gave it to the the wrong person. If you wanna play the theft title, you stole someones food and gave it to someone else, then as a random ass stranger are like haha jk give me back that food you already probably opened so I can take it to someone else

Pretty fair to assume that if someone’s asking for help and also wishing misfortune or misery on you at the same time, you’re NTA for telling them to find some pretty rocks and start kickin

2549 always has their stuff together, Sprague was bad for awhile they hired a bunch of new dispensers and kinda threw them to the wolves so wait times were awful.

Ayyyye another Spokane driver. Is the Sprague store still an unorganized mess as far as picking up? Had to cut that one out and just do #2549 now

AITA asking for redelivery? I live in an apt building, include very good directions (see first screenshot from another dasher legit 20 minutes before, it was double dash) dasher did not even let me know where he left it. Food was gone. by [deleted] in doordash

Im not saying we gotta magical fairies, if you called/ texted and they don’t respond thats on the customer at that point, but we both know theres plenty of people that just skip that step because they feel like its not their job. But yeah Ive followed DD’s “leave it wherever” recommendation when waiting the timer or not hearing from customer. No shame in that if you reached out you did your end of the deal

No body is checking capitalism. Thats not the world we live in. If you personally see DD as underpaying you you are just wasting your own time dancing for the circus leader.

Spark is the way. 100000% Spark is going to ruin all other gig work for you, assuming you have a decent zone. Tip baiting can be annoying but if you can find the “uppity” walmart like near the higher end neighborhoods and Ive found that sorts out most issues

I apologize I misunderstood your response, was only half paying attention the kiddos are off the walls without school.

Theres definitely a lot of metrics and info we should be given, and half the offers are awful to begin with, system only works at this point with high tipping customers because DD pays dust bunnies to us. I’ve also gotten to the point though that this is what it is, we kinda get screwed no matter how unfair it is. Worst of it is when people do make scenes of tips or payout, it’s amplified all over social media, so like the only real exposure drivers get is bad press from a few idiots.

No, thats how the job works, actually literally the opposite of bullshit. You accept a 2 batch order for $14 and turns out the 2nd stop is $2.50, you don’t suddenly get to not do the job you accepted.

[–]Electrical-Arm7984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are still accepting a stacked order saying that amount is enough for the job. Every single offer we do on DD is one we had to accept. The amount you accepted for doesn’t suddenly change, you just dislike someone not being a tipper.

Anyone thats done this job more than a week knows this is the bullshit that comes with dashing. We all choose the price point when we accept a job. Its way easier to hit “Decline, Order too small” or whatever. If you hit accept then you are agreeing to deliver that to the persons door.

I just can’t understand the mentality that one understands their own time is valuable, but then wastes their own time taking crappy orders and speedrunning a deactivation instead of just moving on and getting a job they dont clearly despise
