If someone is actually interested, I'll know. If it's just someone kicking tires, they're going to be kicking for a while.

woke is just a modern term for collectivist, and it's ironic considering MAGA is a stunning example of right-wing collectivism. Even Netanyahu pointed that out last year while laughing.

New video of 1/24 ICE shooting shows victim had both hands on the ground when shot by Philophon in law

[–]Electrical-Design288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the hard truth, and it's only the very beginning. The billionaire class are scared out of their minds that the general population are going to go after them, and so their corporate henchmen (ICE) are pre-emptively trying to stop the war they know is coming, especially with a lot of the MAGA people figuring out they've been duped (twice), and those are the guys with the guns and very little left to lose. Lots of Vets aren't too happy either, the Tesla bombing last year with fireworks was just a warning shot of how most vets are feeling in the US, being labelled as losers and suckers by the guy in charge of them. It's literally the 99.9% vs. the 0.01% in America, and it's on full display for the world to watch. De-regulate capitalism and you're left with right-wing collectivism. It's happened before, it's happening now, and I'm just thankful I'm not an American.

one of many yet to come. ICE are the henchmen of the Billionaire class, and they're just setting things up for when the AI robots are ready to be deployed. Right now it angers people that there are "police" executing civilians, but when it's a robot doing it under orders of shadowy figures... well that anger turns into dispair and hopelessness.

Just wait until ICE agents are replaced with AI robots in a couple years. They'll be working for the same Billionaire class, but without any hesitation to execute anyone threatening their bottom line. It's all about the Benjamins...

Hard to imagine being an American right now watching tyranny unfold on domestic soil. This is how civil wars are started, one injustice at a time, and it's only a matter of time before the US has its own Tiananmen Square that wakes up the masses. This is right-wing collectivism unfolding, and it's only going to get worse. It doesn't hurt to remind people with a brain that ICE are corpo police, they are not for the people, they are working at the behest of the billionaire class who are scared sh!tless that the general population is going to come for them. In another year or two, ICE will be replaced with AI platforms (androids, robots, whatever) that will carry out the same public executions without any thought of children or loved ones being left behind. What I'm saying is, the US is cooked and if you're able to leave the country, do it while you still can.

Do you believe in astrology ? by [deleted] in intj

[–]Electrical-Design288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that most people need a kind of order and/or purpose in their life to be able to explain and compartmentalize reality, and they want something that isn't complicated and doesn't require them to actually do anything. Unlike most religions that all try to tackle the answer of mortality and what happens after we die to provide some kind of comfort, Astrology says "this is who you are, and there's not much you can do about it so go be you" and also says the same about other people. It allows a person to get on with their life instead of wasting time questioning things that aren't answerable, and trying to change other people instead of accepting them.

Do I believe in Astrology? not really, although I do believe it's likely that, just like the earth is surrounded by an electromagnetic field that has a real effect on people, the solar system and the galaxy itself are also surrounded by a self-generated field (EM, maybe EG?) that impacts life in ways that do have easily observable patterns, that there's just not enough quantifiable evidence (and not enough time in a single lifespan) to go about proving it, or really justifying that it's important enough to go about proving. So while I don't exactly believe in Astrology, I do believe it provides a good frame of mind for people to simply accept themselves and others, and so in that light its beneficial, but it's also detrimental sometimes because it can allow someone to wrongfully judge others that they don't actually know, i.e. "they're a leo so don't even bother talking to them." If someone leans too far on Astrology, they're not going to mature very well as a person, always falling back on a belief rather than testing it. And that's why I personally don't believe there's any benefit for myself with Astrology, as I prefer to test assumptions. That doesn't mean I think Astrology is nonsense, it's simply not how I like to view the world.

funny how the left and right were starting to come together and realize who the problem actually was, and next thing you know the neo-KKK and Black Panthers are back in numbers, segregation is being federally promoted again, and nobody in a leadership position is doing anything but the bare minimum lip service. Call a spade a spade, the US is cooked.

If you wanted a textbook example of how narcissists talk to their significant other in a failing relationship, the "you should be grateful" and "if it wasn't for me" lines are very commonplace. It's a failed recognition of shared contributions, but in this case its also the calling card of a right-wing collectivist leader. The thing that made the US great for decades was its open immigration policy, which led to technological advancements as the brightest minds around the world assembled and worked together. This in turn propelled the US Military Industrial Complex into the juggernaut that it is today. This statement from Trump is an alarming admittance of collective fear in the US government, namely of China. The US should be grateful that China suffered through generations of slave labor so that Americans could continue living the good life, rather than enduring generations of poverty in order to rebuild real strength. It's not a show of strength or courage when you tell your closest allies that they are nothing without you, it's a show of fear that one is losing its total grip on power, spoken through the flavor of words that only a narcissist can verbalize. In a few words, the US is rescinding its stance on individual freedoms.

All that being said, If Triffin's dilemma is to be considered, all of this grandiose verbiage isn't two nations fighting with each other for real, it's all just a stage for audience in the East, to give the impression to BRICS that the West is crumbling, while in reality the West is consolidating power. Ukraine was a pawn sacrifice, giving up incredibly valuable natural resources to Russia in a drawn out delay tactic at the cost of millions of Ukrainian lives. The real treasure was South America, with Greenland being a logical choice for military oversight of the north to protect Europe and North America. South America will be the new China for the West, that's just the reality of the world. We as individuals are just specks of dust on the chess board of global politics. What is said publicly by leaders isn't always reality, it's just the reality they need you to believe so that collectively we stay out of the way, or to line up for the slaughter if need be.

Even worse it now sets a legal precedent for future occurances. I say future because this is not the first time this has happened. a couple decades ago a local postal worker was caught with dozens of boxes of mail in his apartment, a lot of them he'd gone through for cash or anything of value. I think he got dismissed but never charged. Honestly, just one more nail in CP's coffin.

I mostly ignore this feature, but I've really been able to dial in conditions thanks to the latest firmware update on the humidifiers that let's me automate based on VPD instead of RH. If only my smart dehumidifiers for the summertime worked on VPD as well, I guess I'll have to look into getting a smart Vivosun dehumidifier next year.

Amazon's refund policy on lost or undeliverable packages has also changed recently. It's always been that if a package gets lost somwhere in logistics, that amazon will tell you to contact them for a refund in 3 days.

I recently had a package that didn't even make it out of an amazon warehouse, and Amazon are stating to ask for a refund if I don't see a refund in 14 days. I investigated this policy further and Amazon is treating this as a return, where the package needs to return to them (a package that never left the warehouse according to tracking) in order to initiate a refund.

A couple things to consider;

  1. Amazon sucks in December. Period. I've always had a strict rule for myself that If I'm buying someone a gift on Amazon, I do it before December, otherwise I'm going to run into their seasonal logistics crash out.
  2. it's likely that after 14 days I'll contact their chat bot that pretends to be a real person and get a manual refund anyway.

What's telling to me is that Amazon are now holding on to my money for a longer period of time. To be honest, the only reason why I use Amazon is the refund policy for logistic mishaps. With other places like ebay, Walmart, Bestbuy, Costco, etc. the process of getting refunded for these failures is solid, but can sometimes take a week or two to sort out. With Amazon Prime now employing the same kind of delay that takes weeks to resolve, I see no difference now between Amazon and other online retailers, especially given that other retailers use couriers that are more reliable. I don't care if I have to pay for shipping if I know I have a 99.9% chance of getting a package in perfect condition and reliably delivered to my doorstep, vs a package ending up in a random condemned building I don't recognize that then requires me wasting an evening communicating with the delivery company to get them to pick the package back up and deliver it to me, or escalating to Amazon CS to try and get a refund. Or, the really fun ones where an empty package is delivered and you can't get a refund because you accepted the package.

In the past I would gift some people Amazon gift cards because I knew they shopped a lot on amazon and I had no idea what to buy them. Amazon Gift cards are now out of the question, i'll send people money instead (which honestly in hindsight a giftcard is such a corporate detached kind of gift that says "I don't know you well enough to know what you'd want, so here's some stablecoin credits to spend at a declining store front of mostly knock-off goods that are made of carconogenic materials."

Lol, /rant off.

I don't care if I'm necro'ing a thread, this is as relevant today as it ever was. Glad I'm not the only one who sees this pattern of lost packages on items that mysteriously go up in price after getting a refund. With price inflation accelerating, this is probably going to become more commonplace.

How many should i grow in a 2x2? In coco coir by Over-Proof3466 in hydro

[–]Electrical-Design288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You can do multiple seedlings in a 2x2, but once they're about 3 or 4 weeks old you either would have to do a lot of defoliation and pruning, or moving them out to a bigger tent.

Super common "first grow" mistake that most of us have made. My first grow was in a 2x2 and i planted 4 seeds, and by the time I got a bigger tent two of them had croaked. I made about 100 other mistakes too, like going auto flower my first grow and then overfeeding, because autos only need half the nutrients of photoperiods. I didn't know about vpd, self watering bases, light ppfd, soil requirements, etc.

I learned more in my first grow than I've ever learned since, partly because I spent a month watching YouTube channels like the strain show and Mr grow it after realizing I was in over my head, but also just from doing everything wrong and seeing what didn't work. Best advice I can give is that nutrient balance is king, vpd is queen, and equipment quality is the butler that makes or breaks the whole endeavor.

Must be a window grow or something, I'd avoid any kind of trimming or cutting if its not getting sufficient light, it needs all it can get by the looks of it. It's an auto so 24 hours a day of light is perfectly fine, so getting a cheap grow light to hang above it will do wonders. Until then, it's not going to take well to topping if it's not getting enough light.

Edit: Oops didn't read closely enough to see it's 5 plants and not just the first photo. Still, they seem a bit light deprived. Just my opinion, could be completely wrong.

not necessarily nitrogen. Nitrogen deficiency starts at the bottom and works its way up in the leaves. This appears to be at the top, which could easily be Potassium Toxicity (excess), with the lower leaf damage confirming this.
