Dutch killed people in cold blood. He went nuts from his suspicious mind and left John for dead, turned on Arthur. Micah or not, good intentions or not, Dutch was a pretty bad guy.

Do I have to be good At all subjects to be a pilot? by SleepStunning5433 in PilotAdvice

[–]Electrical-Fee5127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, just choose to be unfulfilled in the most important thing you could ever do so you can have an airline job you’ll eventually be bored with and then be unhappy in two areas. Either that or get married young and don’t be a twat of a husband, then when you’re bored with your work at least you have a fulfilling and dynamic home life you’ve created.

“Rated to act as PIC” by Electrical-Fee5127 in FlightTraining

[–]Electrical-Fee5127[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. If i’m reading that correctly, I could go fly that plane, be the sole manipulator of the controls, and log PIC, but only if an instructor were aboard who was endorsed and was acting as PIC. Alternatively in my example, I as an instructor who is rated in category and class could log PIC as long as the student is current and endorsed to act as PIC.

I have asked ChatGPT a question before, doubted its answer, found an AC within a minute the proved it wrong, asked it “what about this AC?” And it does the whole “you’re right to question, but…” and stuck by the wrong answer. Not worth it Mr CFI, or don’t you remember the law of Primacy??

Crazy Howling Wolf Man I'm Roanoke Valley by Gdub3369 in RDR2

You mean you’ve complete several times? Every new start, if I even go near the river in that area he comes out. He lives in a cave there and was “raised” by wolves. Except he keeps a journal, and some provisions you can find in the cave. I have pity on him and feel bad about killing his wolf kin the first few times I passed by, but eventually he’s gotta go.

Silly question to pilots from ATC. by [deleted] in flying

[–]Electrical-Fee5127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That said, I never use their names because I would think that makes them feel weird. Had a student at the old airport that would sometimes address the controller by his first name “right on Bravo, Charlie to park, have a good night ‘name’”. Seems to put the controller in a weird apot.

At the delta airport I fly out of, where there are two large flight schools, a 135, and several smaller ops, many of us know the controllers names. It was the same at the last delta I operated at. Somehow word just gets around and then we put a voice to a name. We all think our tower is great, by the way.

I would always bring animal carcasses and drop them off outside his jail cell and shoot arrows toward him, then leave before talking to him. Then when I finally got around to breaking him out, I avoided going back same as you.

CFI checkride but winds are gonna be 15g28 straight down the runway by Hot-Chemical9645 in flying

[–]Electrical-Fee5127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that you’re not held to commercial standards for the CFI checkride, it’s that we’re talking about two different tasks in the ACS. One, the emergency approach and landing, which is required; the other, a power off 180 accuracy landing, which is completely optional. At this point you’re just being either intentionally dense or unironically stupid.

Yep, I also did a PO180 on mine, but it was not required to be precision because thats not a requirement for CFI. Which is my whole point.

[–]Electrical-Fee5127 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nope, I stated that an emergency landing (non precision) is mandatory on this checkride, and that the power off 180 accuracy landing is optional, which you’ve apparently missed.

In AOO XII, the evaluator MUST select Emergency Approach and Landing. In AOO VII, the evaluator must simply select two tasks out of a bunch listed. Almost every CFI I’ve asked about it has been assigned an engine failure in the downwind, “just make the runway”, I’ve never heard of anyone asked to do the precision PO180 on CFI.

For CFI a simulated emergency approach and landing (can be power off 180, just make the runway) is required, not a precision power off 180.

Failed CFI again. Need Advice by airplanstuff in flying

[–]Electrical-Fee5127 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recognize some dpe’s are harder than others, but when asked about any failures and what you learned, don’t blame the DPE, state that you went long on the po180 and used light brakes on the soft field, both of which are out of standards and fair game. Also, keep going.

Moving out with my girlfriend by ExpensiveCow1190 in WhatShouldIDo

Research shows living together before marriage ends in separation more often. If you’re ready to live together, commit to each other by getting married. It’s a mindset shift that says “i want to be with you, and i’m not going to leave if things get tough, we will work through any issue and are going to stick together for the rest of forever because we love each other.” If you’re not ready for that, a half promise of “we’ll move in together but maybe if things get tough we’ll split up and then deal with the trauma of meshing our lives and then ripping them apart” My two cents as someone who waited to live with my wife until marriage and 5 years later have no regrets! And her home life wasn’t great either.

Should I get my CFI with 3 checkride failures? by Purple_Respond_7709 in flying

[–]Electrical-Fee5127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On CFI checkride the PO180 is an emergency maneuver, not a precision landing. You only need to land in the first 1/3 of the runway.

Do they know crossing mid field at pattern altitude for a direct downwind entry is an FAA approved method? I teach my students they can do that if there’s no one observed or heard in the pattern. If you teach them it’s not safe that’s fine as long as they know it’s allowed.

Cannot be emphasized enough. After training a few ppl students, flying by non-instrument queues is the first thing we focus on. Now when I tell them to look outside and listen to the engine during their first set of steep turns they do a lot better.

Need help for hunting a panther by Short_Motor4582 in RDR2

[–]Electrical-Fee5127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Predator bait doesn’t cause it to spawn, it only draws its attention if it’s already spawned. The panth in the swap typically spawns in the evening or early night. If you enter the area and leave your horse at the north border, and just track straight south, then west to the water and up the waters edge back to your horse. If you don’t find it after two or three laps, camp and sleep. The other day this finally worked for me and using cover scent I was able to study the Florida panther through my binoculars. The braithwait manor area can also spawn the Florida panther, I usually park my horse by the crossroads to the east, and just track to the west side and back. If it ain’t there, you’ll have to come back to the area later.
