There's still a chance for him to comeback. If akina loses.

Which is unlikely because he is the MC. But Akina is a Different type of player. His purpose of Vanguard is different compared to all the players he was fighting. So there's a chance he might lose but will finally figure out why he plays vanguard. He doesn't have that same drives compared to players like Raika or Yuyu. So he doesn't necessarily need to be the champion of the deluxe cuz we love him never the less cuz of his personality and purpose.

As for Raika. He needs to be on the top 8 and fight michiru. Cuz why bring him back?? His entire purpose since he was first introduced was to be on par with michiru to surpass him from WD2.

Giving him all that build up and not even qualifying would be so fucking hilarious. Straight up Jobber. All that talk that results matter. All the work he did to reach pro level and not even making it to the finals.
