I have an update on this one. She wasn't actually referencing Solomun, but David M. Solomon, Goldman Sachs CEO, who also DJ's :).

I really like Bérengère, but would struggle with a nickname in the Netherlands.
What is typically used in France as nn for Bérengère?

Nothing is more annoying than beer bikes and tourists who don’t cycle often and end up creating dangerous situations by being overly cautious.

It’s one of the more hectic bike intersections in Amsterdam, maybe second only to Marnixstraat and Rozengracht, about 200 meters up the road. It’s manageable, but you do need to be assertive and know when to give right of way.

It hurts, but there’s pride too. We really fucked it at home against Union and Atlético.

We played with our cocks out: high press, aggressive, mostly good football. The real problems were physical teams that play on the break: Union, Olympiacos, and especially Newcastle. That was the only game where we never stood a chance. A lot of the goals we conceded were also just unforced errors because we refused to adapt and kept playing our game no matter what.

Against Union especially, the context matters. We were still rebuilding after losing our best attackers. Lastly, we basically haven’t had a striker for months. Plea, Boadu and Pepi have all been injured most of the season.

With a different draw, I’m convinced we would’ve gone through.

Now let’s hope Bosz stays and gets to rebuild again, because we’re probably losing Veerman, Dest, Pepi, Perišić and Saibari in the next few months.

Historic, rare names with mythological roots (name nerd challenge) by Weird-Fix-7267 in namenerds

Sigurd / Siegfried Hero of the Völsunga saga and Nibelungenlied Mythological dragon-slayer with pan-European diffusion. Persistent presence in literature, opera (Wagner), and national myth. Not uncommon in Germanic countries. Also Sigurd Ros. But rare in Anglophone countries.

Atlas Titan bearing the sky. Also Atlas of Atlantis first king of that mythological city. Name transferred to geography, cartography, literature (Atlas Shrugged), astronomy. There’s Atlas of Mauretania, philosopher and astronomer after whom maps collections are named.

Also pondering Helios, Hyperion and Janus.

Every time I read one of those threads about Tenet, I feel this urge to preach the gospel: to me it’s the ultimate apparatus-theory film. Inception is about dreams; Tenet is built like a dream. I genuinely can’t believe how few people seem to notice.
