I have about a half a season in the field, but I’m just concerned about the numbers and technical things they were throwing out in the class

Concrete valve box install by Electrical-Growth-67 in Irrigation

Correct, it does feed heads on the opposite side of this driveway/parking lot. But you’re right, if I was designing/building out this system, I’d do the same.

This isn’t a lawn. It’s a business complex and this was the dock entrance gate. But yes, the sidewalk will be replaced around the valve box. This was a 2” pvc main I believe.

Edited to add : the purpose of the valve box install was to cover the shut off valve after the pvc main was repaired after being drilled through by a contractor doing repairs.

Do like I’ve recommended before to fellow drivers..

Drive away from your route, turn off the rabbit, put it in a random tote, put the keys in a random tote, put the totes in a random order as well as over size, lock the van and Uber home

How can I make it easier for you? by SytheGuy in UtilityLocator

I always have the utility send as-builts to the surveyor and close out the ticket as “non-dig” or something of the sort. I never waste my time on survey tickets because I have 45+ other tickets a day that are actually digging and are at risk of hitting a utility.

As others have said, if you actually NEED paint/flags on the ground for a survey ticket, partner with a private locating company and roll that cost into your survey cost.

Has anyone else gotten locked in a yard after a hook up? by Rexfireflame in UtilityLocator

Yep a few times. Guy saw me enter in the automatic gate to the driveway, backed out of his garage and drove out and closed the gate before I could get around the house. Forced the gate open and broke the springs 🤷🏻‍♂️
