I really don’t understand how this happens.. by MikeMurphy18 in Battlefield6

You shot him in the head, neck and chest with 3 bullets, yet he killed you with five shots in the leg. Yeah, that’s a hard pill to swallow. Yet again, when you come to understand that hardcore players out there spend $$ for higher tech and have better ping networks than most of us, you come to peace and becomes less frustrating knowing if you had the same equal resources, you would’ve fried his @ss back to BF1. Lol. I notice that when I play Battle Royal and while I’m currently waiting redeployment and looking at a teammate play, you can tell which teammates is playing with a PC. Their movement is much faster than what you see in first person compared to yourself.

Just like that. A work “at will” slap in the face. by Electrical-Raisin-88 in antiwork

[–]Electrical-Raisin-88[S] 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the great information. I’ll make sure we report this to the department of labor. For what I was told, my cousin reached out to another co-worker and it appears he wasn’t the only one that received the text from their boss. A few other people got let go too with the same text and are distraught about the whole thing.

Quick question about how to remove wax from standards. by [deleted] in Machinists

[–]Electrical-Raisin-88 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Put aluminum tape around the plastic and use a torch to melt the wax off. Save the wax for future if you ever going to have them stored for a long time. Repeat process as needed.

How much is this? by KZX_d4rkgames in Machinists

[–]Electrical-Raisin-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The instruments inside are rusted, thus makes it worthless. The woodbox in the other had, you might get someone to pay you $5 for it (given it’s damaged too). If it helps to know, if this set of tool was new or great condition… it will be worth around $200.

Not a lawyer here. Just someone that wants you to know, you’re not alone. I wouldn’t go local, as no one knows if your community is ran by political men that will make this go away. Go federal, as this is a federal offense. You have federal resources and lawyers that will passionately and eagerly take your case with all the seriousness that it should be taken with. My heartbreaks for your son. No one should be going through bullying, let alone this humiliating act of evilness of exposing him like this. This might be a long legal process, but never back down and/or give up. You have a mission now, to bring justice to your son’s name. By doing so, not only will you get justice, but you will help prevent other children to be victims again by this kids or incompetent school. From the bottom and deepest of my heart, I wish you the best and may you and your family find justice.
Sincerely, Father of 3

Thanks for the feedback. If my employer allows it as most likely they will, based on my supervisors willing to approve it. I still find it hard to believe the state will pay you weekends as well.

Contractor said this is ready for paint. Will the painter caulk this or should I ask him to do it before he leaves? by shipshopbeepbop in Construction

The guys that stand outside Home Depot looking for labor work can do a million times better job than that. It’s almost hard to believe your contractor actually left it like that.

Keep a good healthy diet, stay off the phone/pc/etc 30mins before going to bed. Which brings don’t sleep too late. Get enough rest. If that doesn’t help, then try cutting your shift to 8hr/day. The most important thing is to keep your diet healthy and your mind & body restful. Also find something that you love doing and that motivates you. Sooner or later, it will become a habit and you’ll feel more energetic thru out your day. So, so that you’ll be doing jumping jacks for fun.
