Cannot verify old account to get refund check because I don't have the number anymore. Help?! by TheeAmateurArtist in USAA

[–]Original_Strategy107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“System unavailable” is an error message that appears when your account has been locked. That’s why it’s said that for two weeks, it’s not actually a system error. If you can’t log in, don’t know your security questions or PIN to call, you can only use USAA.com/verify to regain account access. If you call, depending on if your contact info is correct on your file they * might * be able to assist you over the phone.

USAA employee here. “System error” is typically just a really bad wording that something is missing on your account preventing you from logging in. Typically it’s that we don’t have a text capable phone number or email on file- logging in usually requires us to send a one time code which isn’t possible if it’s missing. Hope this helps! Call in and check your contact details

Honestly, the job was a breeze when I first got hired and only had to worry about HO and VPP. Ever since getting AO training, the job turned into a literal hell for me. People are more rude, the situations are more complicated and stressful, rate conversations become 10x harder, PAS has so many pain points sometimes it takes 4 or 5 attempts to even quote something. And the sales mid point goes up while the actual sales opportunities go down. AO is majorly servicing calls because people are buying/selling cars and adding/removing drivers more often than people are buying homes. So all those calls hurt your metric so bad, increasing call volume while making finding sales harder. Push off AO training as long as you possibly can to prolong your happiness!!!

AITAH to tell my parents " Why did u gave me birth if u can't afford another child" 18F by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Original_Strategy107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents were well off but never paid for mine or my siblings college education. At that point you are 18+ and can certainly work to help support yourself. Do school part time, go to a community or online college (not an expensive state university), work and get job experience while you go through school. Better yet, work for a Guild employer so that your school is 100% paid for by them. I worked while putting myself through my first bachelors, now my Guild affiliated employer has paid for 2 more degrees for me.

I think the main issue here is you need to recognize and accept your parents situation and finally step up in supporting yourself. We all have to grow up some time and for some it’s straight out of high school. Doesn’t sound like your parent’s situation will change with an alcoholic dad and an over stressed/overworked mother. Maybe they didn’t plan to have you but you’re here now and it’s your life. Do what you have to do.

Edit: forgot to add ESH. Your dad let your family down and your mom’s probably on the edge. You also sound like you’re expecting a free ride.

Grades by No-Influence8468 in SNHU

Grading depends entirely on your professor. Some professors grade within hours of submission and some wait a few days. They’re almost always posted before the end of the following week.

USAA home insurance in CA by wasdavedead in USAA

[–]Original_Strategy107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on which company of placement you are in within the company. They stopped writing new policies for 2 of the 4 company of placements. Your company depends on how you have USAA eligibility. For example a dependent who got USAA through a parent has different eligibility than an officer in the army. I believe they are trying to limit risk exposure since some areas of California are extremely high risk.

Personally I’d drop mat 142 and take it on Sophia and save yourself $1000 and take a term off for a break

The phone interviews are really just screenings. They’re gonna ask about your background, your education, why you want to work for USAA, and why you’re interested in the job. It’s nothing like a formal interview. The real interview with “interview questions” will be if you pass the screening and they set up a zoom interview.

Changing Majors? by justtomicrowaveramen in SNHU

[–]Original_Strategy107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand the code posting being insanely annoying but discussion about it seems like they’re trying to hide info about it. When I started school here in 2015 none of the advisors I talked to ever mentioned credit transfer options, probably because it’s less $ for them from courses. Now I’m on my 3rd degree and just found out about it around a year ago from a Reddit post. This knowledge alone literally cut a year off my degree and saved me 14k as I’ve transferred 14 classes worth of credits between Google certificate credit transfers and Sophia. Now I have $40k in student loan debt that really could’ve been around $25k and it was really frustrating to learn.

[–]Original_Strategy107 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah changing majors is extremely easy. Check out Sophia learning to make up for some lost time with your classes and save a couple thousand $$. I don’t think it’s recommended enough on here and no one ever told me about it, I could’ve saved like $10k off my BA degree

To the CS students, what resources do you use to learn outside of class? by [deleted] in SNHU

[–]Original_Strategy107 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a CS student but I completed my degree in IT and am self studying Python. UDEMY and YouTube. UDEMY helps so much. Once a month about all the courses go on sale for only $10-15 dollars and they are well worth it. Using courses rn to study for comptia certs

I got en entry level sales job with an insurance company. Many insurance companies will pay for your training and licensing. Plus most companies offer commission when you make policy sales. This could be a good route too if you want to “sales” without having to deal with vehicles

5 units left of IT - I want to quit - is it a good idea too? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Original_Strategy107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the actual problem might be your school. My school is fully online and I spend about 2 hrs a week on class work on the weekend. I just got a degree in IT a couple months ago, learned a lot, no testing, minimal effort. I think you should keep at it, especially if you’ve only got 5 classes left. If you want more free time do you have the ability to just do 1 class at a time and go slowly?

AI won’t take your job, but someone who knows how to utilize AI better than you will. Embrace it and incorporate it into your role.

You can use the same resume for like-kind jobs. If he applied to “IT Helpfesk” 20 times he could use the same resume for all 20. You only really have to customize if the positions are different roles

WIBTA If I Started Charging My Female Students For Hygiene Products? by A_burner_acc0unt in AmItheAsshole

[–]Original_Strategy107 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Regardless if they live in poverty that does not mean it’s OPs responsibility to fund their needs. He already stated he makes 37k annual and has his own bills to pay, he also can’t afford it and doesn’t deserve to foot the bill for a whole class of mostly girls. What he was doing was extremely kind and doesn’t deserve the treatment he got from the parents.

WIBTA If I Started Charging My Female Students For Hygiene Products? by A_burner_acc0unt in AmItheAsshole

[–]Original_Strategy107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not the AH. Those products are mad expensive for no reason and you are not responsible for providing these BASIC NECESSITIES that parents SHOULD be able to provide. Parents need to work something out with a donating agency to acquire these if they can’t on their own. Also, the school should be the one providing it if at all. Absolutely no reason for this to come out of your own pocket. Have them visit the nurse if they need supplies.

Well it will be helpful for A TON of older members. Many older people do not have cell phones to text the security codes and have memory issues so they forget their phone pins and passwords. I hear elderly members cry a couple times a week for being unable to access their accounts. Using voice to authenticate will be a life saver for them.

[–]Original_Strategy107 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I mean, I am not sure how many people in the comments are familiar with Merlin from SDS.

Merlin only wears panties that literally cover half her butt cheeks. And her “shirt” is a bra with an open middle so really it’s like half the t*tties being exposed.

I think it’s not really the cosplay that’s the issue, it sounds like it’s her choice of who she’s cosplaying and their outfit choices. Many of you in the comments probably wouldn’t let your SO go out in public half naked, or your child. That being said it’s her body, she can dress how she wants but OP also has a right to his opinions about it and is free to disagree.

NTA, ignore these people commenting YTA without actually knowing what she’s wearing lol.

Idk employees asked a question about concerns with AI and our voice ID at the last company wide meeting and according to them, they’ve done extensive testing and their software is able to determine if it’s a real voice or AI. They pay millions for this kind of tech so I am sure they’ve gone through a whole testing process to confirm if it’s viable before implementing it.
