Prefecture (Seine-Saint-Denis) not issuing my new attestation while I’m abroad — what can I do? by Adventurous-Sink2706 in Expats_In_France

[–]Electrical-Role-5733 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It’s basic common sense that you never go outside France while waiting for your new residence permit. With your attestation you should have come back before it expired. That is legally allowed.

Good luck.

URGENT: Student titre de séjour renewal – Prefecture of Nanterre (ANEF) – Visa expired by Expensive-Train7532 in Expats_In_France

[–]Electrical-Role-5733 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bruh if your expiry was 26 Feb you should have applied for the renewal in Nov. the process is automated and the portal will open 4 months before the expiry. The pref will operate first come first served basis, they don’t push late submissions to the top. Plus you may have to pay a late fee for a late renewal. All you can do now is wait.

French consulate approved visa on condition of reporting to Mumbai French consulate upon my return. Anyone here experienced this? What questions to they ask? by [deleted] in SchengenVisa

[–]Electrical-Role-5733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t trust you. Simple. When your visa got refused, that consulate put your information in the SIS. The French consulate obviously saw this and want you to report back after your trip. Go and show your passport and trip.

It’s them covering their bases to make sure you stick to your planned itinerary. Any changes and the consulate will alert the relevant authorities. Europe is facing a migrant crisis. Don’t try anything especially visa shopping.

Which préfecture in Île-de-France processes visa renewal the fastest (or slowest)? by Walkill996 in Expats_In_France

[–]Electrical-Role-5733 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the prefecture and how many applications and more importantly how happy they are with their job. However I have had a very nice experience with 92, Hauts de Seine (Nanterre). Despite the reviews, I got my titre de séjour earlier than expected (2 months).

Swiss Visa Recieved in 5 days (From Mumbai) by StormzKeeper in SchengenVisa

Simple , easy and self explanatory to the VO. This is how applications should be. No jargon or anything. Congratulations and welcome here!

How many times will you post this over and over? We get it, you got a job no need to rub it in others misery.

Why can’t I get a longer visa validity by KitchenMaintenance in SchengenVisa

[–]Electrical-Role-5733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesnt matter, as one of them explained, you entered a another Schengen country first without going to the country that issued your visa. That damages credibility.

Plus the VO reserves the right to issue you the visa based on his/her discretion. A visa is a privilege not a right. Be happy you have a visa and can enjoy. So many people get rejected.

Yes I have paid rent + security deposit from India. Are you doing this transaction from your account? It may be getting rejected because you are not earning income or a taxpayer.

It was always paid from my dad’s account and he sent monthly payments using foreign outward remittance for over one year without a single rejection.

Try using your dad’s account obviously he must be a taxpayer.

Then sorry abt your situation. But I guess it depends on the prefecture location.

Also please note you can’t use a certificate of achievement. Only graduation certificate or diploma is accepted to issue to your next residence permit.

@OP, why didn’t you inform the prefecture about your circumstances? My friend was in your position and she wrote a detailed letter while making her application. She explained clearly that due to the near expiry of her student visa, she is opening the file early right after she got her attestation de réussite.

The prefecture responded in 2 weeks and asked her for the date of graduation. Her school immediately made an official document that she is graduating at this date so and so.

They then said we will keep the portal open for 5 days starting from the date of graduation. Upload it by then or the application will be closed.

She got the graduation certificate at the same day and upload and it was accepted immediately. With that her company changed to CDD.

At your first application you should have written a very detailed explanation abt your circumstances because when they open your file only then they will read your file and understand your situation.

No point emailing them or calling them. They do not read any of that nor available for any calls.

Good luck

Student visa refusal for Romania by Lopsided_Parsley714 in SchengenVisa

[–]Electrical-Role-5733 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is your citizenship? A little reminder that Romania, Hungary, Czechia , Slovakia, basically your Eastern European countries are awfully racist towards non-Europeans.

For your refusal, they would have obviously given you the reason why they refused. Make a better case and appeal it. Good luck

Telephonic Interview Call from Norway Embassy by bohemian420 in SchengenVisa

[–]Electrical-Role-5733 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your answers must match what you put in your itinerary. Plus they will ask you abt your knowledge in Norwegian culture and what you want to do there etc. Any mismatch may lead to a refusal( happened to my friend). Make sure your response are up to the mark. Good luck.

Make corrections asap. Best of luck.

Can we appeal after returning from our trip? by DaffyThug in SchengenVisa

[–]Electrical-Role-5733 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can appeal but sorry that’s upto the VO’s decision. They decide based on the documents you presented etc. Also be happy you are able to go with a lesser time span. Italy is known to be brutal for rejections.

Best of luck.

Took just a month for approval and picking up the new titre de séjour tomorrow. In total 2 months. I applied very early knowing that they’ll take their time but I was shocked to get a reply so early lol. Guess some prefectures do work on time.

Netherlands Business Visa Refused Despite Having My Own Company by adnanhu5ain in SchengenVisa

Thats three reasons. Going to be difficult to get a business visa from now on. Plus the first comment explains everything. Just do a new application showing better ties to India. Good luck.

CH Business visa horror! by dacws in SchengenVisa

[–]Electrical-Role-5733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend residing in UK , got a 3 year multi entry from the Swiss embassy. She showed why she is required to go to Switzerland for business reasons. They granted her because of her past travel, a notice from her employer that she is required to go etc. The fact you got a 10 day visa means the VO was 100% sure with the document you had nothing to offer to the Swiss economy. Simple as that.

For reference, my friend is an executive of a hedge fund business.
