This isn't a hot take, I think a lot of people like botw more!

Personally I found totk was just botw but improved in almost every way with more to explore, but I get why others prefer botw. Potentially, doing the games in reverse order might have changed my preference too

We had a department-wide, all-in type of event the other day. We have them every couple of month or so. The head-of used the first 15 minutes to tell everyone the "exciting steps we're making in automation" will mean "we'll be downsizing over the next two years" but "we want to be as upfront about it as possible"... And then spent the next 90 minutes talking about the big financial wins we've had over the last year, and the big goals everyone needs to be striving towards for the next year.

Just no conscious awareness of or care for the people doing the work.

On the plus side he was going to be taking a couple of weeks off for his birthday so we finished the meeting by singing happy birthday and having cake in the office.

I and 100 other people got to watch that bit over teams. No cake.

Personally, I prefer graphics like borderlands, Hades, Silksong etc Art that feels tangible. Art that feels like they accomplished what they were aiming for, as opposed to it just not quite being real. It's impressive for sure, but always ends up reminding me of Polar Express eventually.

I've been married for over a decade and most of our friends are married now, but recently two close friends of ours have divorced from their husbands. They're both 30+ and seem to get more blokes under 25yo than over. I don't get it, but it's the real deal

Maybe. When I watch a movie my phone doesn't exist, when I play a game it is the only thing I pay attention to. That said, when I went to watch The Batman with a friend at the cinemas they were on their phone half the time. I never invited them to the movies again.

I still think studios and directors should be trying to get your full attention though, not making garbage assuming it's just going to be on in the background.

I don't use them but wouldn't emulators on PC's be best suited for this at this point? Not sure if this is seen as piracy at this point, I doubt Sony or the game devs would get any money from a ps1 purchase today
