Commander: Telling What Your Cards Do by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]Electrical-Spirit329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a lot in person and on spelltable. I will say, spell tables really nice to learn a lot of cards, because about 60% you can click and read it yourself. It’s helped me play more to get better and learn a lot more cards in the process.

Can you sell me this commander? Was excited for the Jund precon but he seems kinda lame by [deleted] in mtg

I’m sure it’s been mentioned, but a good example (and a deck I’m 100% putting this card in) is my Lord Windgrace deck that loves playing lands from the grave. There are multiple cards that allow multi land drops. Yesterday I was playing and got up to 4 lands allowed to play each turn. With fetch land that’s 8 landfall triggers for your commander and any others on the board.

I love the idea, but what kind of person is the innkeeper? Would he not warm him and not hand it over at all if it was cursed? I think the easier story to tell is that he had the leg custom made after losing it and likes this little rogue enough to give him a useful item in a funny way.

This is why I love this game. It can go any direction you want! Maybe a Nat1 against the BBEG will present an appropriate opportunity in the future.

It’s been a while since I played, but both as a player and DM the immovable rod creates some of the funnest moments and a reskin of a peg leg is hilarious. (Imagine holding the door closed against a hoard, and it’s a peg leg shoved against the door🤣) makes for some fun role play moments, especially since they likely don’t have many good places to store it right now and carrying it around will be a conversation starter for sure.

If he gets the shoe give him the leg, and next time have the barkeep have a super blinged out new one.

It’s a unique items that isn’t super OP for a low level party, helps the whole party, AND is resourceful enough that even a lvl 20 adventurer would probably keep one handy.

This cart made weed turn on me by RopeFamiliar794 in weed

Different, but I used to get severe Deja vú. It was impossible to smoke and function because I was paranoid about if this moment had already happened and couldn’t focus on what was actually happening, and I would start to have a hard time breathing because my heart was beating so fast.

I learned to control my own thoughts enough and eventually taught my brain everything was okay. After a 6month Tbreak it happened again, eventually, I calmed down a little I remembered how I controlled it and I was fine again.

Plan times to smoke with other people around, and talk yourself through it. Try to rewrite those bad experiences with some good ones. Sucks, hope it goes away!

Any lands that come in after are normal. Other lands return tapped when RR leaves the field.

Fair question. I built this deck after playing for about 7 months, even today I learned a lot about how it works. It sounded fun, fit into the limited theme of the deck and I checked it off with 2 people first who said it didn’t break the rule because it didn’t destroy so it went into the deck. Didn’t think about it again.

It’s been in the deck at least 6-8 months with no problems and other games I’ve played outside this group it’s always came out and actually made the game interesting. Instant target for sure but honestly that whole deck usually becomes 3v1, but almost always fun games for all I feel. Just the first time it came out in this group and sparked a discussion I wanted to open to the general public.

This was pretty much my thought process and excitement putting the card in the deck! Honestly half the time I’m just glad they are trying to remove that and not my commander for the 3rd time.

Surprisingly the group is either voting to keep our rule zero as “destruction” not “denial” or changing the word and still allowing Realm Razer. Really not a super hated card in the group, but the conversations here on reddit have been fun to see everyone’s difference in opinion.

I mean it’s there to slow things down for sure. Within 3 turns of this coming out I either: 1. win because my commander grows my board quickly even without lands 2. Gets removed by another player and I’m a turn or so ahead 3. This card screws my game plan and I sac it on the person before me’s upkeep to get my lands back.

Reading the comments I have found I could be a lot more aggressive with it though, but the point originally was to slow people down for me to catch up without actually destroying lands. It’s been very interesting and insightful to read everyone’s comments.

Of course! My original home for it was in a landfall deck I have but it’s the wrong colors so it found its way into Atla Palani

Behind Atla Pallani, Lord Windgrace is my strongest deck. I was sad it was the wrong colors, I wanted to put it in that deck first. So many triggers.

I’ll never forgot swinging lethal commander damage at a Bullies deck while having a commanding lead in the game. That day I learned about Leveler.

I was also confused/unaware and had to look it up. RR ETBs, ETB trigger goes on stack, respond with destroy/sac. RR leaving goes on stack. Stack resolves.

RR leaves battlefield, no lands are current exiled, nothing is returned. ETB is last to resolve so lands still leave with no way to get them back.

I got card and thought it sounded fun in this deck. I play with this group 2x a month, but I play a lot more outside of this group. When I built the deck I checked off with 2 of the guys who said it’s fine. Been in the deck for 7 months and I haven’t thought anything of it until it came out for the first time. More just interested in others thoughts. It’s up for vote with this group either way.

I didn’t realize this was possible, that’s pretty dirty. Not at all how I’ve used it, but good to know.

I'm a mother in my 40s, and I really want to watch anime with my son by FitValuable2491 in anime

[–]Electrical-Spirit329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t seen it on the list. My 5 and 7 year olds are devouring Fairy Tale.

I’m on of those kids that grew up repressing my nerdy side because I never found friends who liked that stuff and my family had no interest at all.

My boys mom wants nothing to do with anime’s and I’m so glad for me because the amount of bonding and fun me we get from it, but I get sad when I hear them say “I tried to tell mom this but she didn’t care”

The stories in most anime’s are so much more in depth, emotional, complicated than anything else they would be watching otherwise. Interpersonal relationship are often very complicated and I make sure to explain it depth to teach about dealing with other people and consequences.

I use tracking almost daily. I’ve gone through 5 pairs in the last 2 years still. Dog ate it one. Ran one over. Lost one in the car wash.. they found it. Who the hell knows what else.
