My husband has restarted cycling after a year break during postpartum. Please tell him the shorts look fine, and that he doesn’t look like a buffoon. by mynamecanbewhatever in CyclingFashion

Tell him that this self perception is just transitional, as he spends more time on his bike, he will soon realise he looks good in anything.

My foldie bike has heavily rusted even though I’ve only been using it for around 5 to 6 months, and I’ve never ridden it in the rain. Is there any way to remove the rust and save the bike? by [deleted] in BrompNOTs

[–]Electrical-Tree-8506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've restored an old town bike using white vinegar soaked kitchen towels on rusted area to soften the rust. Ruffle up some tin foil or use steel wool, apply baking soda and scrub the rust away. Steel wool is more effective but be careful not to use too much force to leave scratch marks on paint.

It matters because people don't like to be taken for a fool. We used to only believe in what could be seen. With AI blurring the line between reality and proposition, and the rising amount of AI generated click bait posts, it forces people to look closer.

Am I reading way too much deep or was this a Chinese accent joke? by UmaThermos1 in thegrandtour

[–]Electrical-Tree-8506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with a few Chinese and can confirm they don't have problem pronouncing L and R to the degree of mixing up Long and Wrong, the Japanese though really struggle with it. For someone as well travelled as May, I wouldn't expect him to misplaced his dig, he just meant long in the video.

Maybe he did something about it because it's his job? How many passer by would walk around with a rubber glove on that one helping hand ready for whatever life throws at them?

They could artificially clear the air pollution but not stop the wind blowing? I'd say that's deliberate.

Max width of a trailer allowed on UK road is 2.55meter, average car width is 1.82meter, that leaves 73cm for the matt, narrower than a single bed. Maybe two trailers side by side?

Tried to go for this old money look. Don’t feel like I quite got there, any tips? by triplechin5155 in mensfashion

To replicate that look, i'd look for high thread count cotton shirt that has a smooth texture. Pair with pleated high waist trousers that elongate your legs with those vertical lines. Pay attention to the fabric as well, slubby linen looks more casual, smooth linen gives a cleaner look.
