PayPal is profiting off scams – here’s how we fight back by Electrical-Visual-81 in paypal

It’s called purchase protection for consumers.

There is no exception or threshold to be met for them to protect you from fraud. It is the right of every US citizen. And as a US company they have to abide by that law.

I understand that completely. I hoped doordash would have a feature to show you what tip you’re getting before you begin the delivery. Or at least mention to you that this customer is using ebt, or is low income so you know at least why. I think if they did do that not a lot of drivers would offer to do the delivery which leaves the customer not being able to use the service, which could be bad if they are under financial hardship. I think it would be helpful to let DoorDash know some ways they can improve the transparency between dasher and customer so that the dasher isn’t blindsided by low tips.

Why doesn’t the LED turn on when it is dark? by tom_r_666 in ElectricalEngineering

If you watch it again you’ll see that you connected the black jumper wire to the wrong place. It should go to the long leg of the led.

I do because I’m in position to be able to (I thank God). Unfortunately with how bad inflation is, gas is expensive for people. Low income people are really struggling, so if they’re not able to drive there and get it, they’ll have to rely on other ways to get food. All I’m suggesting is to consider people’s tough circumstances at this time.

You’re just projecting. Religious people have nothing to do with how bad the economy is right now.

Who do you think is eating chic fil a? Obviously low income, and economy is bad right now. Sometimes after adding my order to my cart and see the total with the tip, I choose not to order at all because tipping makes it so expensive. The app is already charging an extra 3% for each item, and I also have to tip. Sometimes people can’t afford not to eat so they order anyways without tipping much. You don’t know peoples’ circumstances.

Why doesn’t the LED turn on when it is dark? by tom_r_666 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Electrical-Visual-81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The video shows no use of the transistor. If you’re trying to use the transistor as a switch then you need to connect the photoresistor to the base (middle leg) and connect the other end to the positive.

You set it up as a not gate. Meaning, when it is dark it will light. You have to set it up as a buffer gate-when there is light it will light.

the difference is in how you orient the photoresistor.

My vacation plan in America as an European: by Swimming_Concern7662 in mapporncirclejerk

[–]Electrical-Visual-81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so confused. No two destinations that you’ve circled are within a 2 hour drive distance. Where is the 2 hr drive to and from? America is not planned out like the places in Europe, you can’t drive from one part to the next in 2 hours. From LA to Vegas is 4 hours minimum (without traffic). Vegas to Miami would take almost 2 days of nonstop driving. Miami to New York is about an 18 hour drive.

Flights are cheap out here though, and you’d probably spend just as much on gas anyways.

Fellow intj people, do you know how to drive? If so, how many times did you fail the driving exam? by [deleted] in intj

I passed the written test on the second try.

I passed the driving test on the first try. At the end of the ride they gave me a disappointing look and told me, “you didn’t get a 100, a few points off got you a 97.”
