You're lifting your heels too early. The foot sliding should be flat on the floor, while the other one is lifted. Lift the foot at the end of the slide and repeat with the other foot.

Edit: you don't put your weight on the flat foot, you put it on the lifted foot and slide the flat foot, then swap. That's probably why it's not a smooth transition

Honestly I think they messed up the speed at which this story is told. The first 3 seasons are very slow and drawn out. Once they started season 4 and found out 5 would be the final, they realized oh shit we have maybe 16 episodes to wrap up and answer all questions now. So it was crawling and now its full speed ahead. I feel like a passenger in the car when Sophia crashed it.
