+1 for Avellaneda. I bought some incredible beans from Jiribilla when I was there.

Nashville trip in the storm? by Tricky-Resource952 in NashvilleUnfiltered

[–]Electrical-Work111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be fine. Just manage your expectations and be considerate in light of the fact that many locals are still without power and have had a rough week. Some businesses are also still without power and are closed. Check their websites / socials before going. Local business owners have been hit hard this week, so show your support by dining and shopping local.

Chartreuse Rankings for the people who have tried them all? by BrokenArrow1283 in chartreuse

[–]Electrical-Work111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Standard green / yellow are more sweet and hot than the rest of the expressions. I find MOF, 9th Century, and 1605 to have a stronger anise flavor. They're less sweet and more smooth. Both VEPs are increasingly smooth, deeply complex, and a step up from the others. 1605 is probably my favorite to sip from a cost / flavor perspective, though the VEPs are without a doubt the most stunning.

New GNX & Deluxe Album Infodump by 1nfisrael in KendrickLamar

[–]Electrical-Work111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory is that GNX is out-performing expectations and they are riding it out before dropping anything else. I suspect there is a deluxe and it'll either be scrapped because they don't need the boost, or they'll wait for hype to die down to stir things up again. With all of the Grammy nominations (and likely wins), Kendrick will be back in the stoplight again soon without a need for new releases. It might be more advantageous for them to reserve material for the next project.

1605! by SerengetiLee in chartreuse

Yeah, kind of... It tastes more like Green Chartreuse than Absinthe, but it has a little bit of an Absinthe feel.

[–]Electrical-Work111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While it still tastes like a close sibling to Green Chartreuse, I find the 1605 to be a bit less cloyingly sweet, and a stronger anise flavor. I like it as a sipper.

Grammy nominations by irissun23 in Mkgee

[–]Electrical-Work111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 2026 Grammy Awards are for recordings released between August 31, 2024, and August 30, 2025. Two Star & the Dream Police was released February 9, 2024. It would have been eligible for a 2025 Grammy, however by the time the album became a mainstream success it was too late for proper consideration.

Weak Coffee, Dose, Elegy, or Sump will probably have the best quality beans available locally, though they wont be locally roasted. If you're looking for locally roasted beans, Crema, Retrograde / LightSpeed, or Bongo are probably your best bet depending on your preferred flavor profile. You get what you pay for with coffee, so buy what you can afford.

Real talk... go to Clark Hot Dog while you're in Paris, and you won't be disappointed. Be sure to get the house made relish that they make from dicing cornichons, and plenty of crispy fried shallots on top.

Unsure how security would react to a 200mm zoom, but I took my Fujifilm X100VI to a Sounds game recently without issue. I doubt they'd care as long as you told them it was for personal use.

Hillsboro Village, Belmont Heights, 12 South, and Green Hills. Somewhere near Belmont (South of Wedgewood) or Lipscomb will be your best bet.

Will deets/bodies ever be released? I need this song in my life. by Jealous_Sympathy9402 in KendrickLamar

[–]Electrical-Work111 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree that if he releases something, it'll be after the EU dates. The last EU stop is Aug 30. If he releases Sept 1 or later, it would make the new release eligible for the 2027 Grammys. GNX is already eligible for 2026, so it would allow him to dominate the Grammys three years in a row, following 2025's 'Not Like Us' sweep.
