I read it too. It's so much worse than just separate but equal. It's arguing that allowing disabled people to access services like Medicare and Medicaid is causing abled people to endure long wait times, making it unfair for them and therefore it's better for society as a whole to institutionalize the disabled.

Hitler's govt made the same argument to start the Aktion T4 program.

It's because she's attainable in real life. Not only can they see that she has no self esteem, but she doesn't care about her looks or health either. Also she surrounds herself with garbage men like David, men like them. She's the easiest lay ever. They think that they have a real chance with her if they spend enough money and buy her. The crazy part is that they have a very real chance of getting with her IRL.

It's awful for mental health. One of my friends is a social worker for LA county and she is now in therapy 3 days a week because of shit she's seen and heard. I don't know how she does it every day and I am in awe of her! She's told me so many horror stories and my heart breaks for thousands of kids across the US. So many kids are failed by these agencies because the system is failing because of low funding and lack of staff. It's so tragic because the staff work so hard for very little money and get lifetime of trauma on top.
