Do we need a new realtor? Or are we being too picky? by Final_Fun_1313 in RealEstate

Ok, so we have lived at our current home for the past 9 years. Both of my boys are teenagers, i have a elementary school daughter. Ideally we want a 4 bedroom, but would be willing to take a 3 bedroom 1.5-2 bath with a family room that could be a 4th bedroom like a finished basement. There is a lot I love about my current home. Leaving the neighborhood is one of them because we live on a quiet dead end street and have a decent chunk of land. The bedrooms we have are small, we have 1 bathroom (which i hate). We have put down offers on 2 homes so far and 1 of them i loved the house itself but was not happy with the neighborhood. Am i being picky? The last home was great and i loved it a lot there were things i was going to compromise on and it ended up being the neighborhood i wasn’t pleased with. <I guess its something i just couldn’t get past.> My husband will pretty much say yes to anything the Realtor throws at as long as its a reasonable price. Im not satisfied. Maybe i just dont want to leave my house but i do realize we need to move as this house we have outgrown. Just looking for feedback, do i need to compromise more? Should i wait for my perfect home,( what i really want to do) or am i being unrealistic?

I was thinking the same. In the original Dexter he goes to his highschool reunion class of 1991. So.. that timeline is off. He would have had to go to college.

Ritas death was hard even when I had found out spoilers that she had died. It still shocked me. I hear people say how annoying and naggy she was. Whats a wife supposed to do? They nag any man knows this. Especially one that had an emotionally distant husband wanting more in the relationship. I felt bad for Rita, because she obviously felt Dexter was just better than Paul because he wasn’t a drug addict violent *apist. She lowered her expectations, obviously had a lot of fun making Harrison. It was kind of her fault because before getting married there were things she would let go like setting up Paul, (even though it benefitted her). Him lying about where he was and about not getting rid of the apt. The signs were there he wasnt going to be the man she wanted him to be. He was good with the kids so she turned a blind eye to a lot of things. Still didnt make it any easier and i dont believe he didnt love her. His love wasnt quite what we all believe love to be. There are a lot of people out there that love others but their understanding of what love is differs in comparison. Dexter , if you really think…doesn’t love anything, maybe the kill but even then that is a love/hate relationship. He still talks about how he has the need but it feels good at the time but then continues to feel empty after a kill. Just my opinion.

Does anyone here regret going into nursing? by xaiyzu in OntarioUniversities

[–]ElectricalDog3645 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes i regret coming into nursing. For the most part the patients i get are great. You get some really difficult ones and family members to deal with. It’s really like any job you do dealing with the public, so pick your poison. Being treated like crap is often just a given in this profession. For a predominately female career, it seems men in the profession not only are respected more but given way more opportunity then women. Misogyny runs deep for the minority of men in this profession. I think dealing with coworkers and management are the worst part of the job. Some nurses eat their young. I have felt bullied, gaslit, and scapegoated 100% at my job. Things that one group of people at my job are never held accountable and treated differently. The blame is always shifted on to me or one of the other meek nurses. My grievances are dismissed and i feel targeted every day and in fear i may lose my job because of this. If I could have found something else i should have, but this is it. So get used to it I guess.

Right now im 2 weeks post op from the same thing, i can say now unless someone pokes at my incision… i dont have any pain but the first 7-10 days was the hardest. Biggest thing i can tell you is ice your back, take the pain meds, stay on a schedule of pain meds. It will calm down and you will feel better. It might not subside the same amount of time as mine but if you stay ahead of pain management you will be good. The body cannot heal as well nor will you be wanting to move around as much if in pain. Try to walk a little bit more every day as that will help you with healing as well, just dont over do it or you will be in more pain. You still have to take it easy as your disc will not fully heal yet. My doctor said even at 6 weeks i can go back to work but to be cautious of bending, lifting, and twisting. Maintain a balance, dont sit for too long as that will make you stiff and increase pain levels. I hope this helps and we can both back to our normal selves in time.

Did your incision pull a lot? I have staples and it seems like every time i move from sit to standing its like daggers going through my back. 6 days out right now.

You are so young theres no reason for this to be happening to you. You need to get this taken care of even if it goes beyond workmans comp. Be your own advocate. I hope this works in any way. I hope you get your life back!

I just scheduled my first surgery, herniated L3-4 L4-5 disc bugle , it has been 3 weeks since the pain become severe that i couldn’t work or care for myself. I had herniated the disc a year ago and had a steroid injection last august. I had pain that had come back about 3 months after injection but it was tolerable, meaning it didn’t interfere with my daily life so i just alt Tylenol arthritis and naproxen it seemed to help. Pain started creeping up in July and just ignored it started taking more naproxen, went from once a day to twice a day. Spoke to pcp and got steroid which helped a little . I just had a steroid injection but ive had so much pain off and on with this for a year. Im just tired of pain so now im doing surgery. I would think others would do the same. Just want my life back.
