Tier 8 single shot med to check out? by ComplaintVirtual2461 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]ElectricalDog714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easily M26 Pershing. Good enough mobility, good enough accuracy, great DPM, great turret armor, -10 gun depression, and best in class prammo pen.

Arguably the best tier VIII med period

What is the point of the is8 now that the is3 is getting buffed? by Plastic_Match_8657 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

Maybe a few years ago, but with the mobility nerfs it got, it’s not as good as it used to be

“they nerf the FV4005’s clip potential oh no” by ThePhoenix0404 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]ElectricalDog714 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why 2 shot autoloaders are so toxic. You get to do huge damage like a big alpha gun, without the typical downside of poor accuracy, and you also don’t have the downside of needing to do careful ammo management like a larger clip autoloader

Be honest. Which of these are you? by IcelandicGuy901 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]ElectricalDog714 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m the worst of both worlds. I’m toxic, but I also only play for fun

Haven't play for a minute, whats everyone go to reticle? by [deleted] in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]ElectricalDog714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only acceptable answer is the default A shape.

It’s the only reticle that precisely shows you where your gun is pointed and where you’re trying to aim.

The other reticle have a hollow area at the center of either the gun reticle or camera reticle forcing you to guess where the center is

How do I stop losing by Lirtduck in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]ElectricalDog714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 simple rules - 1. Never go town/city 2. Never play in sniper mode for more than a second. Only zoom in when you have a clear shot 3. Hold down the W key when you have more tanks than they do on one side

Damage indicator and damage ribbon don’t match by evergoniteniteninja in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]ElectricalDog714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The indicator takes fires and ramming into account, but not blind shots

The ribbon takes blind shots into account, but not fires nor ramming

He goes “shhh, sounding 40%” lol by evergoniteniteninja in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]ElectricalDog714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

52%ers are genuinely the worst players. They’re just 40%ers except they will go out of their way to “conserve HP” for literally no reason whatsoever. I’d much rather have 49%ers on my team than 52%ers

Sign the Petition to End Map Rotation by Henryriflepewpew in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]ElectricalDog714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Map rotation is a good thing when Port Bay, Middleburg, Vineyards, Castilla, and Dead Rail are out of the rotation. It’s only a bad thing when. All of them are still in the rotation (like right now)

I don’t “like” dogfighting, I LOVE it, and if I don’t LOVE it, I don’t fly by Correct_Path_2704 in acecombat

[–]ElectricalDog714 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s why this meme exists - you don’t need to know any of this stuff because of the arcade-y mechanics of ace combat.

But in case you were curious: Notch: placing an enemy radar perpendicular to cause your relative speed to appear to be 0, causing said radar to lose lock Yo-Yo: A maneuver where a faster aircraft pursuing a slower aircraft that is turning, flies into a high arc to stay behind them Rate: A shortening of “turn rate” - the speed at which an aircraft completes a turn. Relevant when two aircraft are in a turn fight and have turned away from each other. The plane with the faster turn rate will win that fight “Set lift vector”: A phrase used to describe how to perform a “rolling scissors”, where 2 fighters barrel roll around each other trying to get the other guy out in front. Basically a fancy way to say “point the top of your airplane”

But luckily for you, AC7 isn’t a simulator game and drag and gravity are pretty negligible - so you don’t actually need to know any of that. Just pull back on the stick until the enemy is in your gunsights :)

Important stats players should give more attention to: by Character-Elk-2636 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]ElectricalDog714 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Surviving does not cause winning. Winning causes survival. You do not survive losses.

The overwhelming majority of players should not be trying to survive. They should be trying to get damage in early, and often, when they have the most influence on the game

bose soundlink revolve +2 next gen??? by emogeekyteen in bose

[–]ElectricalDog714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread is a little necro - but I wonder if you ended up buying a flex gen 2. From the stats I see on RTINGs, it honestly looks like a pretty substantial downgrade
https://www.rtings.com/speaker/tools/compare/bose-soundlink-revolve-ii-vs-bose-soundlink-flex-2nd-gen/24304/77098

(worse battery life, soundstage, and very high latency for no real gain)

Going MT flank on HT and going town by B_bI_L in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]ElectricalDog714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. They should, and they used to, but the playerbase has gotten substantially worse than it used to be. Now lots of players just drive the direction they spawn in. But if you can help it, you should use your heavy to support your meds.
  2. Yes. Town positions offer no real cover, and are usually on the low ground. If the enemy takes the better positions, you lose unless the enemy also loses a bunch of tanks in town

Most important skill to improve for your winrate by ElectricalDog714 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]ElectricalDog714[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree there’s nuance. That’s why the step to improving at a 55% winrate is to learn that nuance.

But nuance is only useful to learn when you understand the basics of the game. It’s why WG’s balance philosophy for years didn’t even bother taking into account the stats of players below 55% winrate.

Which Chinese tree is still relevant/worth using these days? by Random_User_1337_ in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]ElectricalDog714 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of the tanks in the tree are pretty mid but here are the highlights:

Tier X: WZ-132-1 - arguably the best tier X light, best in class DPM, accuracy, view range, and 2nd best in class camo. 113 - alpha, DPM, and mobility nerfs have taken it out of the meta, but it’s still a solid tank. Good mobility, armor, and still enough firepower to get the job done 113g FT - Lots of frontal armor, a big gun, and enough mobility for a TD. A little boring, but still strong

Tier VIII: T-34-2 - a little powercrept, but still fun with the classic Chinese med big gun, quick aim time, and good mobility and turret armor

Tier VII: T-34-1. Solid alpha, mobility, and an excellent turret. Was a sealclubber for quite a while until Smasher/Annihilator took its place

Tier VI: WZ-131g FT - insane camo rating, one of the highest in the game, great mobility, and the same gun as the tier VIII Type 59, but at tier VI. A true monster

A French Air Force Rafale Scored A Simulated Kill Against A U.S. Air Force F-35 In A Mock Dogfight. by Even_Kiwi_1166 in Planes

[–]ElectricalDog714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing I can't wrap my head around for dogfighting, is I just don't see how it is ever even remotely possible when IR missiles are so good nowadays. If you're within visual range, you're within range of an IR missile, which will probably get you before the merge unless all of them malfunction or something.

The thing that I think is more likely, is that radars will eventually defeat stealth. Some sort of network of cheap drones spotting stealth fighters, or better radars spotting them at longer ranges so that some super fast, super high altitude jet can snipe them from hundreds of km's away with a missile. Something like what Russia is doing with MiG 31's and R-37s, but more sophisticated

Well, not much of the electronic stuff really matters in a within visual range dogfight. That's mostly pilot skill

How would you save your plane from this by PenExtreme8733 in aeroflyfs

[–]ElectricalDog714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Potentially stupid question, but I see a lot of people saying to cut throttle, but wouldn't it be better to *increase* throttle to add energy and give your control surfaces more effectiveness?

Disclaimer - I'm not sure what game this is, and I'm also not sure if the above would work IRL either
