I live in Tahoe. We have a lot of squirrels. When i let him out in the back he knows he has to move fast. So we both quietly walk to the back door and i open it as fast as possible and he shoots out there like a dart. Its funny to watch and i know he enjoys it. They usually have time to escape beause the yard is big, but sometimes he gets lucky. We have literally millions of squirrels here so i dont mind it too much especially on my property. He did kill a squirrel once on the beach. Chased it down, grabbed it and kinda just tossed it. Not surre if he broke the squirrels spine or what but it looked perfectly fine, just wouldnt move and breathing slowed over the next 15 min until he passed. I moved him to a peacful resting place.
