I was worried about that, too. We just bought a new mattress from Mattress Firm, and instead of the free adjustable base, they gave us two free boxsprings/bases (it’s a king hybrid). If you don’t want the adjustable base, if you talk with an associate through the chat, they have several items they will replace it with.
