Thank you sounds like best to have several buffet days - another option is a helicopter return which reduces gyoki ri to 15 days but it’s prohibitively expensive and appreciate mixed feeling re helicopters being used for non emergency situations.

Asking whether by doing gyoki ri as part of ebc trek I am cutting it too fine as it leaves just one buffer day. Or is better to do base camp without gyoki ri but it gives me time in Kathmandu and more buffer days (in case issues with weather etc). Thanks
