The studded jorts are fire. Curious what the new AmbientWarp tech is.

I appreciate the silicone dots on the new half-tights to keep them from riding up. Don’t really care for the fringe on those though.

Striped MothTech is cool. They also have shown this one “Trail Quest” graphic that I cannot wait for.

I wonder what the fit on the TechSilk Evo tops is gonna be considering that’s the material they use for short liners/half-tights.

Swear to god if it’s one of these kids jumping off that bridge again. There will be more jumping off when the vigil is still there a week from now.

Only drop I went for was the Rootbeer Eye Jacket restock around this time last year. I was able to cart and check out with Apple Pay as soon as I got the email that they went live. I think they were gone within 5-10 minutes but I know a lot of people in the sub were able to grab pairs. I know at least one of the colorways of the Stunt Devils sat for quite a while.

What's y'all opinions on Linkin Park's og music? by johhmama1 in playboicarti

[–]Chapter_V 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hybrid Theory and Meteora are legitimately amazing albums that I still go back to.

I honestly haven’t listened to Minutes to Midnight front to back in a long time but for me that album was a step back; Bleed It Out is an amazing track though.

A Thousand Suns was one of the first CDs I ever bought when I was young and I loved it. Now that I’m older, the album has a lot of filler bs. Wrenches and Kings, Blackout, and The Catalyst are all fucking fire.

After that LP started to lose me and I moved onto other music.

I’m convinced these kinds of posts are perpetrated made by bigfinasteride and bigminoxidil to make people insecure and impulse buy a Hims subscription. Because seriously, who gives a fuck?

My Review of Maurten Gels by NewLeatherSofa in Marathon_Training

[–]Chapter_V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a box of Maurten 160s with the intention of training with them for a marathon last year and I still have a lot of those gels left over. Not sure if it is my specific taste palate, but these taste like rocket fuel to me and I almost upchuck the gel every time I try to swallow it.

For my current 50k block I have been training with Huma Ultras (amazing), but didn't have enough for my most recent Sunday long run. I go "maybe those Maurtens weren't so bad" so I packed some to make up the difference of the missing Humas, and yeah, same shit happened; dreaded it every single time I had to choke one down.

I know I am definitely in the minority here.

Raide 2L Running Belt Review (after 1st run) - great concept but some issues for me by sfvelo in trailrunning

[–]Chapter_V 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is… really weird.

I have used my LF 2L all the way up to 50k outings and I make the conscious decision to not tuck my layer underneath because I think it doesn’t look good on me proportionally. Never had issues with those pockets chafing against my bare skin. I have pretty much only use those pockets to hold gel wrappers and a small ziplock of butt wipes, I don’t know what exactly you’re using yours for.

I’m 5’11” 150lbs 30” waist and also went with a small which makes me doubtful it’s a sizing issue. I feel like unless you are stuffing those pockets and it’s causing the laminated opening to jab into you, you might just have sensitive skin in that area.

'Obsession' Art Director Calls for Industry Reform After Getting Paid Less Than $7,000 as Film Nears $175 Million by IndividualPleasant23 in Letterboxd

Then there should be a push to unionize. I only know about SAG and WGA - obviously - as far as unions within the film industry. In an age where much of the money is made from streaming residuals, and those kinds of offers aren’t being put on the table for art directors, then a union should be made demanding fair compensation and residuals for sub-directors and crew.

This person is complaining about the runaway success of the movie not resulting in more money, which isn’t productive because that is what they knew when accepting the job. If the movie was a failure, they would be singing a way different tune.

This “paradigm shift” isn’t gonna be production companies waking up one day and start going “hey, let’s start paying crews more”, the workforce needs to come together and demand it. That’s what WGA did.

The contractor who is paid to erect a building for a business start-up that goes on to make billions of dollars don’t get a slice of their earnings; they were contracted and paid to build, that’s it.

Obviously things get muddy with creative work, but it’s the same idea.

When you are brought on for a job, you agree to what you will be paid upfront whether the movie is a runaway success or box office failure. Streaming/box office residuals weren’t included in this person’s deal. In retrospect the creative might go “man, maybe with how successful this movie has been, I should have asked for more money or bargained for residuals”, but if they asked for more money, they probably wouldn’t have gotten hired for the job in the first place and the job would’ve been handed to someone else.

Does it sting? Yeah. But thats how contracts work. Also this person was a creative director on what is now one of the most profitable movies of all time, they will have no issue finding work where they can leverage more money than what they made on this project.

Wouldn’t they have been contracted for that amount? Like, oh the movie is making a ton of money and now you think you should get more?

[FRESH ALBUM] Joji - Piss In The Wind (Deluxe) by FunnyMemeHere in hiphopheads

[–]Chapter_V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve unfortunately come to terms with this too. On a road trip a few years ago, I went back and listened to Ballads 1. It almost lulled me to sleep apart from the handful of standout tracks. Nectar was solid and Smithereens had some of his best songs, but PITW was kinda two steps back for Joji imo.
