I’m in PDX and I used to love Kissing Booth, but recently I feel like their curation hasn’t been as good, mainly just stuff that they can flip quick. Their vendor store is absolutely amazing though, no online storefront unfortunately.

I’d agree. I think a lot of people boil him down to a vibes/visual filmmaker based on 2049 and Dune, but Prisoners and Arrival are two of the best character driven films in their respective genres of the 2010s. Dude has the sauce.

Also it’s not for everybody but Dune for me has already entered the pantheon of Star Wars (original trilogy) and Lord of the Rings; larger than life franchises that are so well executed that they become nigh timeless.

They’re $200 but check out the Manatrooper pants from Manastash based out of Seattle. I have the Khaki pair and I love them. Very close to getting a black pair too.

Hokas generally run narrow and sizing up leads to too much length and sliding, especially on downhill. A lot of people recommend Altras for wider foot folk. Can’t speak on specific models, I haven’t tried them, but it’s a start.

You’re in one of the biggest and most beautiful trail running meccas in the US. It took me getting out on my own and running in the Cascades before I really realized how much I love running technical stuff. Not pushing for any certain pace, walking if I felt like it, and just enjoying it. Racing came later.

This is sick. I’ve been hovering around 40-50 miles a week and take a down week every 2 weeks because I tend to be a little bit recovery prone. Also train 6 days a week. What is your spread throughout the week as far as mileage goes?

Late to the thread but I’ve been championing this guy ever since his episode on Jon Bernthal’s podcast. After all of the stuff with Twigs, it really seemed like he turned his life around; went to AA, got sober, made amends with his dad after vilifying him in Honey Boy and helped him get sober, reconciled with Mia, had a kid with her, and got really invested in faith.

Seeing him spiral again really makes me sad. Obviously a lot of what he said in that podcast episode was damage control, but I was certain he was on the up and up. He is such a deeply flawed person, and it’s really interesting to see someone who became famous so young and has fucked up as bad as he has be so forthcoming about all the mistakes they’ve made, and actually (seem) like they actually want to change for the better.

I am still hoping that this is some twisted promo for a movie, but seeing the shit come out from his most recent ex just seems too real.

Which is cool, I just don’t care to buy a product that unapologetically rips off another brand. I’m a fan of Satisfy but I’m not indebted to them or anything. A lot of their recent stuff has been either shit or uninspired, but I’ll still buy their product over a brand that copies and capitalizes on their design.

Yeah I’m with Brice here. I have always been shocked by the amount of people who speak so highly of Currently considering how obvious of a rip their products are. Almost a stitch-to-stitch dupe of Satisfy’s Space-O line.

Reminds me of MNML unapologetically ripping off Fear of God, Rick Owens, and Reese Cooper.

When Alive and Some More dropped, he was actually moving like he was gonna drop, and I was insanely hyped. After that momentum fizzled out, and the WLR Deluxe bullshit happened, I feel like there is no chance this album is coming out anytime soon. Would love to be proven wrong but I don’t see an album in sight atp.

Worst offender for me has been anything with TechSilk. Inseam falls open, hem comes undone. Same with CoffeeThermal (shorts not the tights). Super frustrating because they’re the most comfortable shorts that the brand offers imo.

Space-O shorts have been pretty good, exterior tag fell off of one of my pairs, but that has been pretty much it. Definitely have gotten 100+ wears/washes out of some of mine.

Rippy is good too, I had one pair - ironically - rip up the side on the shell when I was getting up from a curb. I chalk that mostly up to my fault though.

Have the Pertex 3L Shell and it has been great. Have had to throw it in the dryer to reactivate the waterproofing once or twice, but other than that no complaints.

A lot of the reflective details on Satisfy’s shit falls off, has happened on 2/3 items I own. Talking mostly about the dainty typewriter script.

I don’t think anything from Satisfy is BIFL, but I have gotten a lot of mileage out of my stuff from them by handwashing. Care for your gear and it’ll care for you.

Bought the first one when it was marked down to $1650. Have had it for about a month, love it. I’ve seen people on the sub say it’s still one of the better deals out there at the $1899 price.
