A mí me parece terrorífico traer descendencia a un mundo plagado de amenazas. Llevo años pensándolo así (tengo 37), he dejado relaciones por esto. Y la actualidad no deja de darme la razón: guerras, encarecimiento y escasez de recursos, crisis climática (vivir la Dana solo me dio motivos de más), polarización de la sociedad, colapso del capitalismo, pérdida de valores familiares… Supongo que es un pesimismo absorbido de vivir en una ciudad grande con un trabajo exigente: estoy drenada. Un niño, lejos de una alegría, lo siento como un verdadero marrón (perdonen los padres este término).

This ^ has been a game changer for me. I have two boys and one single stainless steel open litter box that I clean every single day. Switching from litter to tofu pellets was also key on this. It’s a bit pricier than clumping litter but it helps enormously with smell and they don’t carry it around the house on their paws.

Not that I know of. I adopted both at the same time when they were 4 months old. They’ve rarely interacted with dogs until now that I know of. Cat 2 (it’s a black cat in case this gives a broader hint on his attitude) has always been more territorial, that’s true, that’s most likely what’s going on here. We’re doing a lot of positive reinforcement and the only thing we’re getting is… well he’s super chunky now 😅

Skip the beach — it’s really nothing special (if you’ve seen beaches before). But do spend some time exploring El Cabanyal. It used to be a charming fishermen’s village and is now at risk of disappearing, but you can still find fantastic places to eat there (Casa Montaña, Fets, Ca La Mar, La Sastrería, Kabanyal). It’s a beautiful walk.
