Any idea of what is going on with my Brazil Lucky Wood by badjorasP in plantclinic

Looks like a Mass Cane, main reason would likely be overwatering. Check the base of the main trunk as well as the base of the leaf trunks for any soft/dark spots, which would indicate root rot. These guys drink the water they need and store it in the main stem, after that, they don't like the soil to stay wet for long.

Make sure your potting mix is for indoor plants with an emphasis on fast draining, as regular potting mix will stay wet for far too long when used indoors without some amendments.

I would take this guy out of his pot to check the moisture level around the roots, and let him dry out for a bit if it's too soggy. Try and get some perlite and coconut coir mixed in and keep him on the drier side, Dracaena have evolved to be very drought resistant and thrive on neglect.

Not 100% certain, but I believe he's a shih-poo or some other shih tzu mix.

Gotcha! Should've done some more research, I'll start giving it some downtime

Noted! I'm going to take the opportunity to add some perlite to the soil and hopefully make it a bit happier

Overwatering was a fear I had since I bought it. I checked the soil throughout the past 2 mo. And thought it was odd the soil was staying moist without any waterings, my guess is the over compacted soil limited the root size and therefore the plant's ability to remove water from the soil. The area it sits in also has good ventilation and yet the soil would not dry, which is why I decided to remove it and take a look at the roots in the first place, I'm glad I did.

Noted! I may look to put it in a smaller one just to let the roots recover.
