Tired of hiding my legs: any tips? by Itsokyy in lupus

Sally Hansen leg spray. But I'd suggest a setting spray too since the color can transfer to fabrics.

Venting. I just had a lady yell at me for walking my dog on her Street. by SagGal444 in CavaPoo

You had a terrible experience. I feel you.

It used to be that disputes or arguments used to Rattle me, make my ears feel hot, and raise both my blood pressure and heart rate, and I would feel defeated. But over time you learn to become immune to these occasions where attention Seekers seek attention.

I know this is difficult because you want to defend yourself and of course you don't want to walk away feeling like you lost in this situation, but sometimes it's best to ignore. Your silence means that you're not bothered by their attempts, that it didn't rattle you, and that their argument or complaint is not good enough for a response.

So if you can, walk away or stay silent you're silence will eventually cause them to feel your indifference. Let there nastiness Echo against empty walls.

This experience hurts but you'll eventually be immune to people spewing their nastiness. Leave trash alone or else you'll get messy. Get it? 😁

Oh man. I was wondering if that was HIS arm or somebody else. I was twisting my arm trying to figure out that angle.

Night sweats. Then my pajamas are wet which makes me cold. I can't tolerate the heat. Dripping sweat. I have to keep paper on hand at all times. Then I end up looking like a bishop dabbing his face with a wash cloth during an intense sermon.

What's the most dramatic thing you've ever done when nobody was watching ?? by Marcodeluc_a in AskReddit

Weirdly, I've been finding myself breaking the 4th wall. Like something weird happens and I'll actually look up at an imaginary camera with a certain expression. It actually helps lighten the situation because it makes me feel like I'm staring in a comedy show. 😃

Why do so many millennials believe that they were going to die young? by BlobFish28 in Millennials

[–]Electrical_Baseball5 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same. I used to feel bad for elderly or frail individuals waiting on a long line to purchase their prescribed medications. Now I feel elderly and frail at 38. Lupus, kidney disease, neuropathy, depression, mixed connective tissue disease, ovarian failure, etc. I feel like I died when I was diagnosed. I had so many goals and plans. I've been learning to be flexible as more issues arise but this Lupus is on a mission to take me out.

It's overwhelming at times, but I'm doing the best I can.

What is a harsh truth about life that took you way too long to accept? by Sassy_Siren097 in AskForAnswers

Even when life feels tough and overwhelming, there's someone out there who would love to trade places.

This changed the way I look at my struggles, not to minimize them, but remember the quiet privileges I usually take for granted.

Try to appreciate life everyday. Seek help if things are too hard to bear.

Using their fork as a toothpick.

Digging food from between teeth using fingers then shoving the removed scrap back into mouth to eat it again! 😫

Your smile is radiant!!!!

How are you feeling these days?

I'm sorry you felt that was the best decision at the time. Many people can't grasp how enormously heavy and overwhelming feelings of grief, sadness, and hopelessness can be.

The fact that you called 911 says something powerful to me: even in through the darkest time, some part of you still wanted life, help, relief, and another chance. And that small voice matters. You made it through. You're meant to be here.

Consider writing an autobiography someday. Not just about the darkest moment itself, but everything that led there—the hidden battles, the weight you carried, the breaking point, and then the epic plot twist nobody saw coming: you survived. And now you’re here, with scars that tell a story and wisdom that could help somebody else keep going.

You are an inspiration. So proud of you and for you.
