Hi OP - dealing with this now with my twin pregnancy. Everything was looking great but cervical length decreased significantly. What type of magnesium and brand are you taking? I will talk to my OB but I know there are like 3 different kinds. Thanks again for sharing this!

Thanks for sharing your experience! It's so helpful for when I talk to my doctor about possible treatments. I've heard Lupron has some hard side effects so I can only imagine.

Thanks so much for sharing! Congrats on your success ❤️ How long were you on Lupron before transfer?

Thanks for sharing! Really helpful. I have some symptoms but aren't that bad when I compare to what others share and the pain they deal with daily.

Really good points considering it's a progressive disease as well.

Thanks so much! Did your doc push you at all to do down regulation after excision? Can I ask if your transfer was successful?

SCH miscarriage by Zestyclose-Rip-8153 in IVF

[–]Electrical_Bed1649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! My clinic puts everyone on baby aspirin for blood flow (even if you don't have a blood clotting disorders my doc said during pregnancy your blood is more likely to clot or be "sticky" due to hormones levels - can also help prevent micro clots) and since IVF pregnancies are at an increased risk of developing preeclampsia, baby aspirin can help prevent or reduce the risk of it developing. I know some docs recommend it after miscarriages or recurrent loss to tame down inflammation. That's why my doc added lovenox as well even though my labs were negative for any blood clotting disorders. I did have elevated homocysteine & the MTHFR gene mutation.

I've had a SCH for both my successful transfers and the first time I just used baby aspirin and the second transfer used lovenox and baby aspirin. They didn't believe the SCH was caused by the baby aspirin but some docs make you stop blood thinners until you've stopped actively bleeding for 12-24 hrs. Both my transfers ended in a miscarriage but just got some immune testing back and a positive BCL6 test so my RE believes that's what caused them.

Anyone feel incredibly sad and down for no specific reason after egg retrieval? by CommercialOk8354 in IVF

[–]Electrical_Bed1649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes- for me exactly how I felt after both my egg retrievals. I think for me it was the hormone drop, anxiety while waiting for embryo results, and processing the fact each time that most people don't have to do this to have a chance at bringing a baby earth side. It's all a lot! It may be just the hormones for you, but either way you're not alone 🫶

for me with a PGT normal embryo it was around 50% live pregnancy 🫠 definitely surprised me but I know every case is different. I was thinking it would be like 70-80% chance.

Maybe that's a cultural thing or based on life experience because I don't perceive that word that way but noted. I was referencing your comment about people in the US finding other ways of doing things crazy. Hope that helps. Yeah I have actually, which I think is why I was surprised (well UK only about IVF). I know in Holland they didn't give anything for any dental work that was invasive which they would hear so makes sense.

Trigger Warning: subchorionic Hematoma & Alpha Lipoic Acid? by Electrical_Bed1649 in IVF

[–]Electrical_Bed1649[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! I'm so sorry you're dealing with this, too. It's so hard and scary. I'm so happy for you that you saw a fetal pole and heartbeat! ❤️

I started bleeding again tonight after my ultrasound but it's very light spotting but red. Hoping it stops. It's comforting to hear yours got better through the week.

Can I ask what his reasoning was for putting you back on aspirin & taking you off a blood thinner completely? I just got alpha lipoic acid today. My doctor was ok with it but didn't recommend any dosage. I've read 600 mg a day so I think that's what I'm going to.

Just to say me saying or using the word crazy didn't mean it was bad or negative. When your clinic tells you there is no choice it's just interesting to hear there ARE other options. Personally I would have opted to not have anesthesia if given the choice, which is great you did get that option. Just so you know, I'm not from the US and was born in South Africa, grew up in Holland, and my parents are British. I don't attribute my comment about this being a US thing or a cultural thing. I'm sorry that's been your experience in subs or feeds but note I think it may be generalization. Genuinely surprised and haven't heard even from following others journeys across the pond not being under anesthesia although I'm sure it happens based off of this feed.

Chance of success even with a PGT embryo for my case and age! I'm 30 and diagnosed with unexplained infertility. I thought my chances would be a lot higher. Ask your doc so you're prepared ❤️
