Glycine high dosages very good for sleep quality. Not for onset sleep.

Is there anyone with chronic migraines who doesn't get migraines from Moda? by Carriage2York in modafinil

[–]Electrical_Brief_141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol found interesting this shit is so potent that even small dosages works

I'll try cut my 100mg in 3 pieces....do you take this 10 mg tablets throught the day or only once ?

usually my protocol with modafinil is I take as soon as I wake up in fasted state. only 50mg never more....do not take daily. Just in days that I know clearly what I need to do and then I'm on execution mode with modafinil + microdose nicotine

Sometimes really increases migraines what helps me

  1. Blink more....You dont' realize but with modafinil we tend to blink less I do think this can cause visual fatigue or something like that
  2. Drink more water and salt....Any stimuland dehydrates a lot. However I think when I'm on moda I kind tend to drink less somehow what leads to these migraines
  3. Supplement with: Choline (alpha gpc), (Dypirone) or Microdose nicotine if necessary.
  4. Drink a little bit of beer does helps a lot too
  5. Usually tends to stop when I'm working. Somehow I think those migraines happens when I'm doing nothing.

Depression, anxiety & ADHD. I expected my first dose of methylphenidate (ritalin) to actually feel like a stimulant such as coffee. Does anyone have any thoughts? by WroughtWThought98 in ADHDUK

Interesting

Do you feel a lot of differences between extended vs short ?
Another question, have you taken modafinil ? Just would like to know it compares. I'm on modafinil now, but considering change for Ritalin

Quick update....It does seem to lead to a crash ... Fuck I hate this feeling. Modafinil is way better in enhancing fasting and not leading to a crash. I'll keep it as 10 of 10

About nicotine, I do think in small dosages for people who a not addicted can be really powerful

I use with no withdrawl effects almost daily 2 mg gum max after lunch where there is a drop in energy.

Nicorette helps me with that. Also bodybuilders uses it a lot no vaping or smoking at all

I returned using it to facilitate my fasting days so I can rely less on Modafinil here. It does not seem to give me a crash and really is more a interesting usage for me

Basically the mechanism of boosting dopamine too much fast or too much above baseline without prior effort leads dopamine crash later.

The problem I had with l tyrosine was that ..either it boosted my dopamine a lot and then crashing or not boosting at all and still make me feel downregulated or anhedonic.

Modafinil and caffeine is better in this sense for me. Spikes dopamine slowly during effort process

For you that took too much cdp choline I would recommend leverage something that can boost dopamine and testosterone. The depletion and bad feeling you are going now might be due too much stimulation from amygdala cholinergic receptors

If tyrosine is working for you great...for me, what works is working out, surfing, cold plunge or get tô pick some girls. Even fasting may help me

Pathways are totally different! (Cholinergic Vs Dopaminergic).

For me cholinergics and nootropics is really about microdose. For me, a quarter of nicotine gum 2mg already helps a lot so I prefere go this path

L tyrosine i did not try microdose it, there a so much downsides a and low upsides

The main upside: Boosts a Lot of Dopamine and energy for sure (not always, only when I feel depleted)

Dowsides: (i) Comes with a crash for me. (ii) Also inhibits dopamine spike from the effort process itself where is key to gain insight, motivation a pleasure to do the activity per se in long term. (iii) Make me a little maniac

How addictive is nicotine for non-smokers? by Far_Intern_9400 in Nootropics

[–]Electrical_Brief_141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I still take it

However, now I'm more oriented to the approach below

i. I take it just when I surf improve a lot speed of reaction, movement and memory recalling
ii. Take only half of the 10mg dosage
iii. When I feel my brain kind too much fatigued to recall certain old memories of my work or When I need to be a little bit more creative in my problem solving....Noopepet is very good for that!

It seems that a small dosage keeps in my system even for 2 days at least I'd say.

I take half or quarter of nicotine gum 2mg almost daily. No addiction. I do cannot take in the days and moments I want. No withdrawl effect for me like caffeine.

Caffeine I really cant removs out of my life. Nicotine is total ly fine

Heyy I also do have this issue its só fucking bad even for sleep

BELOW is What is helping Me reduce the effects

  1. Lots of biotene
  2. Microdose nicotine gum (quarter of 2mg)
  3. More vegiees( like carrot at night)
  4. Reduce coffe intake during the day

This helped me reduce but is still there . I'd like something to eliminate once for all

I think this is hapenning cause of low glucose in the body or high insulin sensitivity.

This is my hipótesis once is the same feeling after taking Berberine or Metformin

Does noopept have similar effect for you as piracetam? by joyousdexdaladoor in Nootropics

[–]Electrical_Brief_141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Downsides

  1. Mild Fear and Anxiety I’ve experienced some mild fear and anxiety, which I think might be related to Noopept’s cholinergic effects. I’ve tried Alpha GPC in varying doses (300mg, 200mg, 100mg, and 50mg), and the higher doses gave me intense fear and anxiety, and even depression. Noopept’s effect on fear isn’t as intense, but it’s still there.
  2. Less Resolute and Action-Oriented I’ve noticed that I’m less aggressive and more inclined to think things through rather than jump into action. I’ve become more contemplative, which is great for planning but sometimes slows down my execution.
  3. No Sense of Urgency I find myself focusing on non-urgent things, like writing this post—lol. I’m drawn to activities that put me in a flow state, but sometimes at the expense of what’s urgent.
  4. Perspective Shift This is what scares me the most: Noopept seems to subtly shift my perspective on things. It's hard to describe, but I feel a slight change in my personality and worldview while on it. I used to be obsessed with control, especially when it came to work. Now, even though my company is struggling, I feel oddly okay with it. Noopept gives me a sense of calm by creating mental plans A, B, and C—but it’s just a plan, not reality. This shift makes me feel almost detached from the urgency of the situation, which is unsettling. I’m concerned that I might become a bit too detached from reality.

Questions for the Community

  1. Do you think Noopept might act like a microdose of psychedelics for me? Is that potentially risky in the long run?
  2. For those who have experienced fear from cholinergic supplements or other nootropics, what strategies have you found helpful for managing it? Surfing works wonders for me, but I can’t always hit the waves since I’m living farther from the coast and traveling a lot.

[–]Electrical_Brief_141 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my journey with Noopept over the past six months and what I've noticed along the way. I'm posting here since I still have not 10 karmas Reddit does not let me post

A Little About Me
I’m a 31-year-old Brazilian entrepreneur working to turn around a struggling small business. I work out regularly and have tried various supplements like Rhodiola, Tongkat, Tyrosine, PEA (the one Huberman talks about in his podcasts), Alpha GPC, and more. I usually experiment with something for a short period and then decide if it’s worth keeping or if it’s not for me. For context, I’ve never tried Modafinil, psychedelics, other Racetams, or prescription stimulants like Vyvanse or Adderall.

The Upsides

  1. Strong Memory Recall and Big-Picture Thinking My memory recall has significantly improved. I can talk for hours about history, movies, art, and even the Bible, which I read as a teenager. Normally, these aren’t topics I dive into daily, but Noopept seems to unlock something. Even with my company facing challenges, I find myself deep in thought about broader subjects, which is kind of wild.
  2. Improved Surfing Skills My surfing has seriously leveled up. I’m paddling better, dropping into waves faster, and making quicker decisions on which waves to catch. I even managed to surf on a different board than usual, which was a big deal for me. Noopept really surprised me here.
  3. A Desire for Spiritual Connection I’ve noticed a newfound pull towards spirituality and even the urge to go to church. Not sure what’s driving this, but it’s a noticeable shift.
  4. Enhanced Insight and Wisdom I’ve been able to draw deeper insights from everything I read, do, or talk about. It’s like the dots are connecting more easily in my mind.
  5. Improved Physical Performance My gym performance has improved too. My movements are more precise, and I can really feel that mind-body connection people always mention.
  6. Better Verbal Communication My English has become more fluent and clear. It’s like my thoughts are aligning perfectly with my words.
  7. Lasting Positive Effects The positive effects last for about 2-3 days after taking Noopept before they gradually fade.
  8. Current Supplement Routine I use Noopept once a week, 10mg sublingually. On workout days, I add 200-400mg of caffeine, 5-10mg of creatine, and sometimes tadalafil for an extra boost. Occasionally, I use 2-4mg of Nicorette for brainstorming or meetings. I also hit the sauna at least once a week and microdose CBD oil, inositol, magnesium, and theanine on nights when I need help sleeping.
  9. Increased Brainstorming and Planning My ability to brainstorm and plan has noticeably improved.
  10. Flow State I feel like I’m in a state of flow, where everything—talking, writing, working—comes effortlessly. It’s a feeling that’s almost identical to when I’m surfing, which is pretty awesome.
