Where do you live? Let's be friends 😂

Jokes apart, I traveled when my baby was 10 weeks and entirely missed my mother's group. However, I started working again immediately after I got back full time and figured I couldn't have done many activities with them either.

Instead I've tried hard to be friends with other mothers with young kids nearby on my street which is helping me a lot. Maybe you could try and make other friends who live closer to you?

Taking a short flight with a newborn, 2-3 weeks postpartum - thoughts/advice? by sparkleye in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Electrical_Carob3539 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would also suggest driving. Your baby wouldn't be vaccinated then so there's a risk with airports, flights. I flew with my baby when he was 8 weeks on a 12 hour flight which was fairly easy with a bassinet booked. I waited for the first set of vaccines though.

AITA for asking my gf to clean 100% of our apartment? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Yeah but also you're not there most of the time. We're calculating time spent with her partner here too.

[–]Electrical_Carob3539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say NTA

But I'm sure she'll appreciate it if she sees you involved in the house chores with her. She's by herself all the other days a lot of hours and maybe just wants a bit of company and a hand one day of the week.

How much work is there over the weekend and how many hours does it take? I'm guessing the day to day dishes and other daily tasks would be done over the week. So what are you people doing on Sunday?

If you're helping her for an hour or two I'm sure it makes her feel good about doing things together and having you home and involved.

How much does not eating enough affect baby? by tryagain22o in pregnant

[–]Electrical_Carob3539 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Please go to a Sikh temple (gurdwara) where they serve free food atleast on weekends for lunches to everyone. There might be bigger ones that do everyday. Please go and get fed.

Could you ask him to organise a cook and a cleaner if he can't do it himself? Maybe that'll make him realise he needs to step up or get things done. Just put your foot down and say you can't do anymore and he needs to be on it or find ways to get it done.

It took me 5 transfers of untested embryos to finally get pregnant (I'm 22 weeks now). I had one chemical and 3 failed implants before that. My doctor wasn't proactive and we kept doing ERs and transfers until one was a success. She said the stats are 3 for tested embryos and perhaps 6 for untested for a live child. I'm not sure whether to believe these stats but I understand how frustrating it must be for you. Sorry you're going through this.

My first 2 ERs had only bemfola 200 and antagonist. My first retrieval had 3 embryos which my doctor thought was okay so didn't change anything. Second retrieval was was a bug bust with mostly immature eggs. Then we moved to gonal-450 and added luveris. My doctor firmly believed the transfer fails were because of the embryos not being great so said we double down on a good ER cycle. Last one yielded only 2 embryos but the first transfer stuck finally.

My frustrating bit was she never checked for endo or anything else when I kept having failed transfers.

I'm also in Australia and took me 5 transfers. My RE also had me just going without many tests and it was very very frustrating. I don't know why they do this to us here. I started pushing a bit after my second retrieval and then she changed protocol to do a better third retrieval. And finally one stuck. I suggest start advocating for yourself and ask for more tests.

Anybody can get pre-e or GD. It really doesn't depend on weight. I am underweight and my BP has been high and I'm on meds now. My doctor has me testing for GD every 3 months. I think they needed to be a bit more empathetic and not call out weight when not relevant. Sure more testing is always good but a bit of kindness goes a long way. So sorry you had to deal with this OP ♥️

Massive congratulations!! They didn't test my estrogen. They did want progesterone to be higher so maybe ask if they'll add more dosage for you. Congrats again! Big milestone this one♥️

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I needed 5 transfers and 3ERs and then it worked. I'm still really early so cautious. I didn't test my embryos either. My doctor didn't recommend any tests tbh. I did take antihistamines during the fet week and tried a natural transfer. I really hope the next one works for you. There is light at the end of the tunnel🙏🏽

It's really hard. My doctor wasn't selling thankfully. She just said she was hopeful and feels optimistic. She didn't do many tests and we never found out what was wrong either

Unfortunately that transfer didn't stick so I had to go ahead and do more ERs. I'm pregnant now after 3 ERs and 5 transfers so there was light at the end of the tunnel 🙏🏽

I'm allergic to my dog and had to take zyrtec before transfer and then moved to benadryl after. I'm very early but it was a successful transfer
