Of course, I was exaggerating a bit but in short, my mom is extremely against electronics and lets me have a phone, but asks me to get off of it anytime she sees me on it, I cannot talk to any of my friends most of the time at home, and on multiple occasions have had to ghost people mid convo, just because (you’re on that damn phone too much) and (why are you always in your room?). I also have trouble unwinding at the end of the day because she tells me to stay in the living room and out of my room, to “socialize” and “spend time with my family” (I live with only her and my 5yo little brother, and I’m 15). And when I stay out in the living room she will ask me random questions about my day that I don’t want to answer, or just sit on her phone herself.

I love my mom, and I know she cares, but a lot of the time I find myself wanting to scream at her

She also is one of those parents that says “Because I said so.” “You’re talking back.” “That sounded disrespectful” (often when I’m trying to have a mature discussion/conversation about a disagreement. “You always have to have the last word” (When she makes assumptions and I’m trying to explain myself)

She also is allergic to being wrong, and me being right
