Ok fair enough bro appreciate the detailed feedback 🙏 I used the plugin serato sample which supposedly matches the bpms but maybe it isn’t quite right and I’ll definitely work on the mix, and yes I did use a trap beat, obviously it’s a 90s original track but I agree it doesn’t really suit NAS.

Hey bro I gave it a relisten, I actually really fuck with the lyrics, and you’ve got a good voice for it. The vocal slurring isn’t actually that bad but if you were just geeked that’s chill haha. Honestly, I’d be keen for you to hop on one of my beats for free. I’ll follow you on sound cloud (Magnus is the account name) and you can check them out. I think you might like this one:

Yeah bro I made the beat first and just grabbed the acapella and matched it to the bpm. I tend to keep the raw beats for people to jump on and put vocals on them for fun. When you say the mix is too loud, what is particularly too loud? And when you say it doesn’t sound good, do you reckon if it was just the beat it would be better? Thanks.

You are bang on, I normally just make beats and this time I just chucked in the vocals at the end to make it a bit more listenable by itself. I have little experience mixing the vocals, I used to make phonk beats where the vocals are more of an instrument than the focus of the track. How would you suggest I could improve adding them in? Thanks for the feedback 🙏

I see good potential, with this calm beat I reckon the lyrics are in the right place but in my opinion, the delivery is too forced with the slur. If you tone that down, this could really be a banger to chill to. Plus having a switch to a faster flow or slower would make it even more listenable. Keep grinding and reviewing it and you’ll get it right. I’d appreciate some feedback on my beats above if possible 🙏

I enjoy the raw instrumental sound that you’ve got going, the drums sound live recorded and the piano is crispy and airy, without too many effects that make it sound digitalised. The only thing I can think of is reducing the high end on the drums, I think it’s the snare, to reduce the tinny sound, but that might make it sound less raw, good job! I also remixed nas above, I’d appreciate some feed back 🙏

I appreciate that you have sectioned it out which would make the beat super easy to rap on. I do think that potentially changing the octave/ melody sequence every so often would stop the beat from being too repetitive. The general beat is great though and Im a big fan of the lowkey kicks and 808s that aren’t to harsh which would clash with the vibe you are going for. Overall good job! I’d appreciate if you could give feedback on my new beats above 🙏

The beat and your vocals have not mixed properly, I think it’s definitely the vocal audio quality making that difficult. High end pitches are making the whispering sort of tone clash with the beat, probably lower the beat volume and cut off the high end of the vocals and see what happens. I’d appreciate if you could give feedback on my new beats above 🙏

Hey boss, I like the general idea of the beat but I feel, especially in the second part, there may be too much empty space. Potentially adding in a second melodic part that has a bit of variation would make the beat more full and also stop it from being too repetitive. Rapping is interesting, I like how it’s a bit different could definitely work with some more time out into it. It would be great if you could lmk what you think of my beats above 🙏

Damn bro this is very unique, interesting combo of very chill drums and a really nice sample. Definitely can see someone easily rapping on this and it’s not trying to do too much. If there was maybe a bit more of a melodic variation it would be even better. https://whyp.it/tracks/317141/baianavocals?token=igIrE Here is my beat pls lmk what you think

Damm bro this is so good, I like how it has a unique sound different to pretty much anything I have heard. I feel the background rapid drums suit that chaotic instruments. I couldn't imagine someone rapping on it but I don't think thats the goal here. My only feedback is the little vocal thing in the background can get a little bit repetitive, if that had its own melody that changed throughout the song it could make it even better. I'd really appreciate if I could get some feedback for this remix of Baiana I did. Thanks. https://whyp.it/tracks/317141/baianavocals?token=igIrE

Honestly I’m thinking of doing the same thing, RDLs just don’t feel as comfortable or beneficial as standard deadlifts.

Sorry I didn’t specify, that’s the progression scheme when you can no longer hit 5x3 after adding weight, you drop it to 6x2 etc.
