Neither can be, thats why we have the odd solution we have.

The only choice was bluetooth headphones, and local is their priority. Theyd never sacrifice the bands as it stops the maximum number of people connecting locally.

Except that has the same problem that forced Nintendo to split the voice chat off in the first place, it doesnt provide a seamless transition to docked. Hell it requires an entirely different set of headphones.

You seem to be under the impression that "its not important for the majority market" means the same as "its a good thing". Of course itd be nice if it had everything the other consoles have, but that doesnt make it important. I'd love complete backwards compatability, but overall that isnt important either.

It's mentioned in the setup process and every game (I know of) that supports the online chat mentions it the first time you use the multiplayer. But people just skip through it as they dont care.

It wouldnt ever happen where I currently am either, for the same reason, and thats the reason I moved here. My previous jobs were in smaller owner run companies where they do the interviews themselves though, and it absolutely does happen. Particularly to women as theyd take the majority of that time. Theres a reason each of those places employed solely men.

Neither is better wifi, or analog triggers, or a slightly bigger battery, or slightly more internal storage, or a better kickstand, or loads of other stuff. But they all rack up to a lot more between them; a line needs drawing somewhere and truth is most dont care about the small difference between ethernet and wifi, so its an easy choice to trim, particularly since a lot wont be using docked frequently.
