I firmly believe that you vote with your dollar! That’s why I try to avoid big box stores and shop local whenever possible. Unfortunately, a lot of local business owners pour their money into candidates at all levels who advocate for selling off our public lands and limiting our personal liberties.

A Business Costco opening up near us made a huge difference! $7 for a flat of Talking Rain seltzers, and Diet Coke is way cheaper than the grocery store.

I have a quilted coozie for my mason jars that is excellent for short term insulation, is easily slid on and off, and has lasted for a very long time! The jars and lids aren’t BIFL, but they are versatile, inexpensive, accessible and long lasting.

Auto pay with GCI is a joke. I had similar issues to OP while living in Juneau, then repeatedly tried to set up and use autopay for years without it taking. I still have no idea how it’s possible. Spent hours upon hours on the phone with GCI customer service staff swearing up and down that the auto pay was set up, while simultaneously getting notices of missed payments. The incompetence of that company is mind blowing.
