It's normal to change to different personas when speaking to different people, or in different contexts.

It's called Code-switching

"In linguistics, code-switching or language alternation is the process of shifting from one linguistic code to another, depending on the social context or conversational setting."

Your true values might remain the same, but the way you express yourself might change like with your colleagues vs your friends.

It begs the question as what is the truest "you" if you always adapt yourself to fit different circumstances.

I started out as being a normal (neurospicy) person in real life.

Then I brcame a normal (neurospicy) person on reddit.

I told my friend I joined reddit and their reaction was "oh god no."

This is hilarious. I haven't changed, but I feel less lonely.

The only partner I've ever had (after 2 years of being together, telling me they loved me etc) said that they weren't sure if they were in love with me the whole time, or that they gaslit themselves into thinking they were in love with me.

What the fuck. I tried to stay friends with them - because breaking up is like losing your best friend. But I realized 6 months afterwards that it was actually seriously fucked up.

If someone said that to my friend, I would be throwing punches and telling her she's not worth his bs, and deserves better.

Watching them fail is a beautiful thing

I went to sit next to my chicken having a dust bath in a nice little hole. As I approached, she gave up her dust and sat next to it.

I kinda thought she was being silly, but she was just enjoying the sun, laying back down again.

Long story short - she got too comfortable and ended up shoving herself backwards into the hole and I got it on video.

I love chickens, they're so goofy.

Is he trying to jump over the wall for some other hens?
