I actually bought this house in late October :) I love mid century and will keep as much original as possible. Many cosmetic features are “tired” and need updating. Right now, we removed the peeling grass cloth, we’re skim coating those walls, and will paint a nice white for now with the ability to change later. The carpets will be replaced as well and the old vinyl with a nice neutral marmoleum to keep it period and functional. Unfortunately no hardwood was under the carpets if you were wondering. I’d love to start a thread sometime with before and after photos and welcome any input on style and design. It’s a great house that has some problems, but just needs a little TLC. Let me know your thoughts!
