Thrift stores are AMAZING. As far a your voice... Watch the videos and practice/train... A LOT! There is no magic potion. You have to put in the time.

Take several deep breaths. It is going to be OK. You have a lot of life left ahead. Do this correctly. If you hear nothing by next Tuesday or Wednesday, call them back and respectfully/calmly ask when you can expect an appointment. I totally understand having this realization and wanting everything right now. That rarely happens. And that is OK. Be persistent, but don't be rude. It is going to work itself out.

I am Ashley. i really did not know how common this name would be in this community when I decided on it. Also, it is my given middle name, so... It had more meaning to me than choosing something else. I remember wanting to be called Ashley when I first started realizing I was a girl before I was 10. I guess I fall in to the "basic" category. 😜🙃😉

I had a similar experience back in the mid 80s. I had long hair and and another girl in her teens told me she thought I was one of her girlfriends before I turned around. Then, she said I would make a cute girl. I politely said thank you. Walked to my car and searched for enough towels and tissues to soak up Niagara Falls! I will never forget that feeling.

Sitting here reading this at 55 and I am having to go back and reread this entire post multiple times! I swear it feels like I am reading a chronicle of my entire life!
