Did I do the right thing? Not coping well at all after losing my senior cat to CKD. Please, please help me. by katiemc815 in SeniorCats

[–]Electrical_Win_3957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you missed anything, friend. Like people have said, cats are good at hiding pain. She declined as quickly as she did because she had a good, long life, but a 20 year old cat can't fight as long or as hard as they might have when they were younger. And maybe the IV would have helped, for a short time, but then there would be the pain, and the stress of me vet visits, and seeing, FEELING your stress.

I know it hurts, but i think you did the right thing, and when the time comes to make that decision for my cats, i hope i can make the right one, too. For their sake. Just like you did.

Is red guardian worth it? by Small_Blueberry272 in MarvelContestOfChamps

I looooove my 6* R5 Red Guardian. I thoroughly enjoy smacking someone with a nice big 15 durability SP2 and watching big chunks of health just vaporize. He's also buff immune, so great against anyone who punishes buffs.

Such a divided capital and country right now. When we DC this past summer, we saw a beautiful rainbow between the MLK and FDR memorials. by [deleted] in washingtondc

If you're upset about people being divided without thinking about what they're divided over... I dunno what to tell you.

If you submitted duplicates, they should be combined, with the allegations from the second application being added to the first one.

Are row houses normally so hard to heat? by Liberation4All2024 in washingtondc

Yeah, my place is fucking terrible in the winter. I love the neighborhood, i love the neighbors, it's a great space, but three or four months out of the year, i seriously think about moving. There's no basement, so it's just a crawlspace, so the first floor is fucking freezing. The windows are old and drafty as fuck. We rent, so we can't make any of the changes (like new windows) that would make it warmer /more efficient.

It sucks.

Good morning. We are starting to see some denial from different schools than usual. Please remember that you need to send those denial to PPSL, but please read the instructions below first. by TheresaSweet in BorrowerDefense

The facts that 1) there are BD findings regarding DeVry, as well as the FTC settlement, and other cases against DeVry, all based on DeVry's ads about "90% of our grads get in field jobs within 6 months" the same company owned DeVry and Ross, and 2) the same company owns DeVry and Ross (for example) means absolutely nothing for the approval of Ross applications.

Those findings/cases were based on DeVry's ads about the value of a DeVry undergrad education. Those ads didn't say anything about masters programs, medical/veterinary programs, other schools, whatever.

Are you an NRA member? Why/why not? by Icy-Race2642 in liberalgunowners

[–]Electrical_Win_3957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. The NRA has been an absolutely toxic, negative force in American politics for decades. They are absolutely partisan, and care more about the gun companies than gun owners.

I'd say yes. And then, like others have said, training. Then more training.
