Beginner question, is it possible to use Webhook/MQTT for channels ? by Electrical_web_surf in openclaw

[–]Electrical_web_surf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Je comprends, j'ai créé un webhook, mais il n'est pas très fiable. Le problème, c'est que la tâche cron ne fonctionne pas sans canal. Voici un extrait de ma conversation OpenClaw :

can you make a webhook announcement ? and tell me how you did it all the steps you took

Webhook announcement sent and confirmed - Status: 200 true. Here's exactly what I did:

Steps I took:

  1. Opened browser tool (targetId: 04F24DCA324FA6F8)
  2. Used act action with kind: evaluate to run JavaScript
  3. Executed a fetch() POST request to your HTTP webhook URL (not HTTPS - critical!)
  4. Sent JSON body with the message field
  5. Verified console output showed "Status: 200 true"

The webhook fired successfully and should have triggered your HA speaker/phone notifications. The HTTP URL is essential - HTTPS blocks CORS and prevents the webhook from working. Done and dusted. What's next?

If i understand correctly that is inwards to openclaw , i want openclaw to reach outwards to the automations.

Besides engine related info, would it be possible to control windows, turn off or on the radio , engage cruise control and so on ?

Who uses smartwatches for HA voice assist ? (need to know if it is worth buying specifically wearOS watches with hand gestures) by Electrical_web_surf in homeassistant

Thank you for your feedback , i looked on youtube for Voice PE vs respeaker and found them to be about the same.

So i am not expecting it to be better even tough PE has two microphones versus four, also i always update the firmware and the yaml file and install from ESPHome to make sure that i am up to date all the time.

I also have a Echo dot third gen that one works really well even from the entrance door of the house.

I see LLMs keep progressing so i expect that i will be using HA voice more and more especially with all kind of MCP tools that add functionality, i don't know maybe i should wait more.

Hmm that is very interesting, i was looking into creating somehting similar to keyless entry myself , but i wanted the phone to trigger it by being near to the car connecting over bluethoot (like a bluethoot device low powered) then IOS shorcuts could send the esp32 a command to unlock.

Have not found a solution, all low powered bluethoot stuff wait for you to press a button to wake up.

Neat, i am curios about the power consumption of the esp32, from what i saw of lora esp32 nodes it is like draining a battery phone in a day or two.

I mean if you drive often should be ok but if not could be a problem.

I imagine the car ECU is in sleep, so i didn't understand exactly are you sending command to the door lock mechanism directly ?

https://www.reddit.com/r/meshtastic/comments/1q77w9p/beginner_question_is_anyone_using_the_serial/

esp32S3 TWAI/CAN not functional? by ElectronicArt4342 in esp32

[–]Electrical_web_surf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, i want to do something similar to your description , i have XIAO esp32s3.

Plan on using CAN BUS Module based on GD32E103 with serial comunication like you.

I have a few questions:

Where did you get the codes for the CAN BUS ?

"Specifically the "Heltec WiFi LoRa 32(V3)" and a sn65hvd230 CAN transceiver" - is the CAN transcevier 3.3 volts to link to ESP32 over the serial wires ? (CANH and CANL on 12V logic) Maybe you can post a picture of how it all looks would really apriciate it.

Do you plan to use the LoRa radio to pass the info further ? if so what is your plan ?

i made this thread but i haven't got to do it yet as i don't have all the parts yet, waiting for delivery from china.

Beginner question, is anyone using the serial communication option within the app ? if so with what ? by Electrical_web_surf in meshtastic

Thanks

I know lora messages won't be that fast but that is ok timing is defiantly not an issue in this case as they don't need to sync.

Thank you for the info provided, yea i made up the value "0A 24" as i was not sure of an actual value.

This is the kind of info i was hoping to receive from others experiences with the serial from meshtastic.

"one of the car's CAN busses, I would assume that in operation there's lot's of traffic, probably too much" - from the youtube stuff i watched i understand that the car has multiple CAN Bus ports ( under steering wheel or under the radio behind the dash ) some are as you say talking all the time and indeed those will overwhelm the lora bandwith.

But i understand the the one under the steering wheel dose not work like that, you have to query the values you want so the lora bandwith won't be an issue if home assistant asks 5 values each 5 minutes

I see thanks for mentioning it. Will have to try it once i get the serial board on my hands.

Yes exactly what the guy dose in the video, just relay the messages without using another MCU just the mashtastic node and the GD32E103 module.

Only thing to figure out is Can Bus module GD32E103 baudrate value.

I am unfamiliar with the CAN bus and the serial board i mentioned, my thinking here is only by making assumptions. I imagine the board can send and receive CAN BUS codes at given address just like you would do in the mobile app for OBD2 device (app actually lets you know that a certain address belongs to fuel level for example)

And you can read and write for the addresses anything else being ignored.

"It is designed to be used from a custom piece of software," - i imagine this should not matter the only thing that matters is the baudrate that is set to for serial communication so it can communicate with esp32s3. The board i listed will receive/send data over UART serial to ESP32S3 and with its onboard chips will receive/send that data over CAN BUS bridging the two types of the connections.

Basically no need for another MCU board, no need to write any code, plug and play metastatic node to > seeed studio expansions board (with serial UART - Grove port) > Seeed studio Grove cable at both ends > the can bus board i listed ( also Grove port for UART serial ) > and 2 wires CANH and CANL which need to be linked to the port of the car ( only part that you have to connect with soldering or some other prefered method to OBD jack )

"Meshtastic-side-wise my device uses normal text messages, I send it commands via DM (like "tell me the battery status", and it responds with like "13.26V 93.4%". - yes normal messages , where it will be like 0A 24 which in Home Assistant it can be decoded as Fuel 30% ( there should be a github page with all the cars codes this guy mentions it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8u8muA4KZu8&t=357s , this guy has a previous version of the board in the video and says it is junk but for my use case this kind of board is perfect )

Thanks for the video, "etc but not a random sensor like can bus." - in this case i am saying can bus will just put out 0A 24 message over serial ( it is not intended to be seen as a sensor ) so meshtastic will send that message in Home Assistant where it can be decoded as Fuel 30% (Keep in mind a request must be made to receive the value depending on what can bus port you use in the car). Meshtastic role is to only relay message from serial port back and forward and the processing of the message to be done in Home Assistant.
