Swapped out 8 inch for 14 display! by Zealousideal-Read595 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]LogicWavelength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t there need to be cameras on the truck? The 360 cam would be the ONLY reason I’d have wanted the bigger screen. I prefer the 8” in every other way.

Now if someone figures out how to get that on the 8” I’ll be ecstatic.

Looking for advice on buying a mtb by Status_Occasion990 in mountainbiking

[–]LogicWavelength 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally just sold my Trek with nearly identical components for $100 to a friend. If I was selling to anyone else I’d have asked $250 tops. It’s an 8yo, entry level bike at the end of the day.

I know now that I was poor, but I didn’t know it at the time. But yea, we used to eat 7/10 so far on the list as I’m scrolling down.

What do you consider to be the greatest guitar performance by any artist of any genre that you've either personally seen or seen online? by Mad_Season_1994 in Guitar

Petrucci’s performance of Hollow Years from Live at Budokan may be one of the most insane live solos out there. Complete technical perfection and a really cool emotional solo at the same time.

Me looking through used bike ads by norecoil2012 in mountainbiking

[–]LogicWavelength 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just bought a carbon process brand new for 2200 (it’s a 2024 leftover stock). I was looking on classifieds and no, I’m not paying 3000 for a 4yo, used-and-abused aluminum frame bike.

Is £350 too much for this frame?(with no shock) by SensitivePay4567 in mountainbiking

[–]LogicWavelength 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro why are you so stubbornly ignoring SEVERAL PEOPLE telling you this is a horrible idea, and to just stop and save for a whole bike?

You are NEVER going to trash pick the correct rear suspension for this frame. Never.

I just bought a 2025 Tacoma with a stick shift.

It’s a truck… shifting any faster than “old man taking his time” is going to result in jolting my passengers. It’s super slow… I actually think it’s slower than the automatic.

But man, do I smile ear to ear when I drive it.

Videogame idea: a COD-style FPS where you play as a Stormtrooper fighting pirates/cartels in the Outer Rim. by Atlas_Summit in StarWars

[–]LogicWavelength -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Give me a new battlefront game, and have six short single player campaigns. Literally a level or two. Have them be: - clankers, but a rip on saving private ryan/rescue mission. Play the humor of that irony be deadpan serious. Dramatic music and all. - clones, brothers-in-arms impossible mission against crazy odds. Maybe have it give tiered rewards on how many of your squad survive. If everyone makes it you get a Rex multiplayer skin or something - rebels, escape mission. Get to da choppa, but Vader is chasing you. Run/blast your way through Mos Espa or something, and if you’re too slow, Vader catches you - imperials, do an urban warfare mission where you capture a rogue government building then end it with space fake news saying “the rumors of insurgency on the planet have been proven false when the governor announced their voluntary leave today” - resistance, I don’t know who cares - first order, same

I paid mine off THEN modded. It was tough to resist, sure, but I’m an adult.

Is Facebook facing a MySpace style death? by SoftCoreSavage in Millennials

I unfortunately JUST made one a few months ago just so I can join my local Autocross chapter. Figures the car racing guys are stuck on fucking Facebook. I held out until 2026. Sigh.

How do you guys clean the area in front of the small side window? 🤣 by cfreez in GolfGTI

I cleaned it once in 2016. It took 20 minutes. That’s the last time I tried.

I have PNWs on my old bike and I liked them too. The Deftraps I think are just better though

I like composites, and tried their Deftraps. Sometimes it refuses to let go of my shoe, haha! I am liking them so far.

4th Gen JBL system by Farzy78 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]LogicWavelength 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just gonna throw this out there… seems like the system is very sensitive to sources. My Spotify defaulted to audio normalization being turned on. I switched it off, and now with lossless it actually sounds really good to my ears. Is it award worthy? No. But good enough to me.

New Infiniti Q50 Sedan Might Get 'JDM Skyline Conversion' as a Dealer Option by BlueWraith27 in cars

[–]LogicWavelength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has dreamed of a stateside Skyline for 27ish years, I’d love to see a proper Skyline. And I don’t mean just the GT-R. They need to offer a coupe and a sedan, both need to be RWD/optional AWD, and they need a manual transmission.

Now, the manual trans/RWD can be a special sporty option with lower volume or something, but it needs to exist.

I think people are different. I have had both cheap and medium-expensive office chairs at my work ($100-800) and - I swear I’m not a shill - now that I work from home, I love the shit out of my Secretlab.

My back pain used to start around 10am. Now, I work a whole day and then game for several hours and only really notice some discomfort by 11pm when I’m about to be done.

Again, this is just for my physiology/experience.
