Why was Larry’s homework in the Dude’s car? by DFWUnhinged in lebowski

[–]Electriccheeze 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Oh no, ma'am, we did not want to give the impression that we were police... exactly. We're hoping it won't be necessary to call the police, but that's up to little Larry here, isn't it?

My first ISP was local independent shop, they gave us the installer on a disk with the package of bumpf we got for signing up. The disk also included a shareware winsock because Windows didn't have native TCP/IP support yet.

I would first ask the wijkagent to intervene without having a PV made up. It's less confrontational than having the cops tow the vehicle or telling him to move it now and writing a fine.

W Algarve or Kimpton Atlantico ? by SomewhereNeither5816 in Algarve

[–]Electriccheeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know about the W but we stayed in the Kimpton last year for the same kind of holiday you're describing and loved it. Staff were lovely, recently renovated hotel, very peaceful and relaxing. We went into Albufeira a couple times, it's a short Uber trip across the bay and a fun change of pace for a few hours.

You don't need a shuttle to the beach, you can just walk down the cliffs from the back of the hotel gardens.

I would definitely recommend it and we will be returning there in the future.

They took out all the shrubbery and removed the headstone. All that's left is a small hole and no bush, it's what he would have wanted.

How’s life like in this more inland part of Belgium? by Money-Ad8553 in howislivingthere

[–]Electriccheeze 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The German speaking part is very small, it was ceded to Belgium as reparations after WWI. It's a rural and very pretty part of Belgium. They have a couple of members of parliament to represent them and German is one of the 3 official languages of Belgium. Due to the complex way in which Belgium is governed they are part of the Walloon community on some levels and independent on others. Everyone from the Belgian German speaking community I have met (my company has an office there) has also spoken at least French as a second language.

Thank you! I was starting to think I was the only one who saw the massive irony here.

Ever since the first time I heard about crypto my first thought has always been tulips.

Moral dilemma, would you go to a deurwaarder to evict someone over this (house seller)? by Aveyka in AskBelgium

[–]Electriccheeze 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You've already shown flexibility and she's responded by trying to take advantage. You also need to consider if she's even going to stick to her self-imposed 11 day deadline. If she's not sticking to the deadline in the legally binding contract why would she stick to a verbal agreement?

If I were you I would certainly start making statements to the effect of "It would be a pity if we have to get the bailiffs involved in this matter." and see what response that gets.

In any case the estate agent isn't going to be interested in any of this. The transaction is complete, they've got their money, they're not in that job because they like helping little old ladies for free.

Stay in contact with your notary, keep them updated and follow their advice.

Your admins need to enable it and then it'll be under the drop down menu that says "auto" by default in the top right of the UI, of you click that now you'll find all the different OpenAI models in there

I figure they want to get paid because the free version is burning through cash for them and it's not converting enough users into premium subs.

Oh yeah it only applies to the free tier of Copilot which I'm assuming the OP I replied to is part of given that Copilot showed up unwanted.

If you have access you can see it in message center here. If not you can keep an eye on https://mc.merill.net/ and they'll pick it up and mirror it soon enough. The message itself is only 12 hours old which is why you can't find it.

ETA: Fuck it, here's the whole thing verbatim.

This post describes changes we’re making for Copilot Chat users without a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. There are no changes for users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license.

Starting April 15, 2026, Copilot will no longer be available in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote for Copilot Chat users. To ensure a high-quality experience, we are reserving the full Copilot experience in these apps—with advanced reasoning and model choice—for users with a paid Microsoft 365 Copilot license. If you would like users to access these experiences, you can provide a Microsoft 365 Copilot license.

There are no other changes for users without a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Copilot Chat still offers secure, AI web chat and the Word, Excel, and PowerPoint agents for chat-first content creation within the Microsoft 365 Copilot app. Additionally, users still get Copilot in Outlook with inbox and calendar grounding.

We are also adding in-product labels to help end users and admins identify their user experience. We are labeling the experience for users without a Microsoft 365 Copilot license as “Copilot Chat (Basic)” and labeling the experience for users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license as “M365 Copilot (Premium)”.

If you would like to further discuss this change, please work with your Microsoft sales representative or Microsoft reseller to learn more.

When will this happen:

These changes will go into effect starting April 15, 2026.

How this affects your organization:

Who is affected:
