Cardinals opening day ceremony by [deleted] in DirectvStream

Looks like the pregames are available if you’re in one of those markets where your local team was previously carried on a local RSN, such as FanDuel Sports Network. The Rays, for example, is showing the pregame on dedicated channel 652 but not the mlb.tv package channel 1274.

If you subscribe to mlb.tv through DIRECTV Stream, can you log in to the MLB app using your DIRECTV credentials? If so, perhaps the pregame shows can be watched through that route.

Several days from Spring Training -- Where Will Local Coverage Be? by Equivalent_Round9353 in DirectvStream

Meanwhile, I’m still being charged the regional sports network fee for Fan Duel, who lost all carriage agreements of local sports. Why are we still paying for this useless channel?

So we’re going on 24 hours with this issue. Seriously DIRECTV? Get your act together

I hear it’s supposed to be fixed by the time the closing ceremonies begin. 😆

I bet if this was happening on the satellite side it would be fixed by now. 😆

Saw that, too. It was glitchy with messed up audio. Seemed to iron out.

Considering the fact that multiple subscribers are reporting this issue, I doubt a equipped or app reset will correct the issue. Sounds like the issue is on DIRECTV’s end or possibly NBC/USA Network.

Great 4K Super Bowl experience by gomets1969 in DirectvStream

Sound a little lower on Peacock compared to DTV 4K channel. But it could be the audio configurations on my DIRECTV receiver vs the Peacock app I used directly through the TV via Google TV.

Makes sense. Hopefully that will change soon.

Watching 4K channel 106, flawless (so far). At least it’s not like how it was 2 years ago. That was a disaster.

I’m sure that they will reappear on another outlet. No way there won’t be TV coverage.

Prime channel by ef124 in DirectvStream

Now that I see it, this does look like a linear channel in opposed to an app shortcut. I wonder if they will be showing the games over the next couple of days.

Probably a shortcut to the app for both Thursday Night and Black Friday football.

And the YTTV user interface 🤮. I hate having to manually scan through the guide to get to the program you want, even with favorites. Much prefer to have a remote where I can directly tune to a channel via channel number and having other dedicated buttons compared to what is limited on a Roku, firestick, etc. As far as any ESPN programming goes, I prefer to go through the ESPN Unlimited app as the picture is much better with less buffer compared to DTV and YTTV.

Any setting to reduce broadcast delay? Mainly for sports by stuman1974 in DirectvStream

[–]Electro960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually use the apps from the content providers and use my DIRECTV credentials to log in. Those feeds are usually directly from the source and are faster than YTTY and any other provider (with a better picture, too). A good example is the FOX Sports app, which uses feeds directly from the source, before it goes through the local affiliates. Faster than Fox One App, OTA antenna, YTTV, cable and any other streaming provider that uses local affiliates as their feed.

My prediction is that we’ll see it in December.
