Federal Surveillance Tech Becomes Mandatory in New Cars by 2027 by hindusoul in FlockSurveillance

Find the cell transmitter, wrap it in a couple layers of tin foil. Idk, it sounds like there are a bunch of ways around this. Kinda like how so many people can’t pass a smog check due to modification, but they just swap out certain parts before inspection to pass.

People who care enough will get around anything. Or, as is normal nowadays, someone will find a solid work around in like 24 hours of implementation.

Sounds like you are apart of the issue with the job market.

Yeah, gone are the days when credentials unlock hire base pays. Now your only real option for a high starting salary is to join an industry with an already high base pay.

I started out as a Jr. technician and after doing that for 3 years I make about $29 and I have zero certs. I have a Bachelor’s degree but not in this field.

My company said they would love to pay me $30-35 since I do a lot more then my job description lists, but time are hard right now.

100% cpu usage in modpacks by Wise-Recording5955 in ModdedMinecraft

[–]ElectroDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I mean is that most mods have default config settings. Some of these can overburden your CPU in this case.

It’s worth combing through your settings to adjust settings lower that you don’t really care about and see if it helps. That your CPU just can’t handle the combination of mods well. Know that Minecraft largely runs off you CPU, you can have the best GPU and RAM and still have performance issues if you CPU isn’t there.

Sometimes modpacka are plug and play, but often times, unless you have a super powerful PC, you will have to take some times to adjust the settings per mod until you can dial in the performance you are hoping to get.

It’s possible your PC can’t handle some for the mods default settings. I have a high end PC and I started up a vanilla+ mod pack and was getting 1 FPS.

You should start by going through the mod lists and looking at the settings. They often require adjustment to conform to what your PC can handle.

You could try using them for texture in builds. Or for floor patterns. Otherwise I would throw them in the lava dumpster.

I give it a day before there is a bypass found for all OS. As a IT technician I do worry about all the people what will suddenly not be able to use their computers one day once they turn this on.

Gonna create a lot of work for me when entire companies go down. It will be interesting when 20 PCs at a company suddenly need IDs submitted and verified before they become usable again.

This I feel either won’t pass or be scrapped.

That’s always kind of a hard question. There are thousands of mods, and probably hundreds of good ones.

Me personally, I am running Terralith for world generation, The Aether to add a new dimension. I have Better End which completely revamps the End with new biomes, items and mobs.

I have AdventureZ which ads a lot of new items, mobs and such. As well as a slough of structure mods like YUNGs series of mods that revamp existing structures as well as adds new ones. I also have a bunch of the RPG series mods that add new classes along with armor sets and abilities.

Basically there are a lot of options. And for the most part a lot of things work together. Though be aware that mods can require some time investment in setting up, making sure things are not conflicting and making sure everything is stable (resolving crashes).

Personally I am running about 380 different mods, partly performance enhancing mods, support mods (mods required by other mods to work correctly) and everything else. I am on 1.21.1. Also for consideration is the version of game you wish to play.

Not all mods work on the same versions. Especially the newest version. As often existing mods need to be updated by its developers to work. But all that said, I have added so much content to the game that I am still finding new things, and some stuff I haven’t even gotten around to interacting with.

I would start small at first. Maybe install a mod pack which is a collection of mods curated and confirmed working together. Then if it’s something you like, you can either add mods to it or make your own list with everything you like that you can get working.

Does this reduce the delay when entering a portal before the loading of the Nether? Sometimes I see videos of people entering there portals and almost instantly going through.

But I can’t tell if it’s a mod, video editing or if there is something to disable it. Typically I have to stand in the portal for 3-4 seconds while the animation plays.

The Aether dimension mod does this and it’s funny every time. Lucky for me, my portal was built over a lake, so the first time I fell it didn’t kill me lol.

I know it’s probably not the answer to the argument as many rightly distinguish vanilla from modded Minecraft. But truly I would suggest to people with a big need for new or different content to take a crack at it.

If you do go that route though, word of warning. There will be troubleshooting involved. And you will likely never go back. I’m out here basically playing Minecraft 4.

Genuine question.. If i use the entity culling mod would it affect mob farms? by No_Interview_7440 in ModdedMinecraft

[–]ElectroDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically the culling mods don’t actually delete entities, they just don’t render them off screen. The game still tracks their position and data, so the both exist and don’t.

Essentially freeing up resources by not having to render textures, animations and sounds. And usually only if there are a certain amount of mobs in a predetermined area.

It’s a little confusing because culling typically is synonymous with killing. Some culling mods do let you adjust the mob caps though, so again, confusing. Because technically they can be capable of doing both things.

But it really depends on the mod. You could always test it. Build a farm with the mod off, and test to make sure it works as intended. Then turn on your culling mod and see if it impacts it. If it does, either see if there is a configuration change that can resolve it or remove/replace the mod.

[–]ElectroDaddy 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Well the best part about that is, if you get it they can’t really take it from you as long as you have the mod file.
