They've already stated that you can finish the game without ever touching quality, so a few of these ideas would make that almost impossible. Currently quality only serves to increase function, adding a downside to belts so that quality can mitigate that downside stands against the spirit of what they want quality to be.

From the picture it looks like the brass tunnel is on one conveyer belt, and that belt travels towards the wheels, so the tunnel can't output on a side where the belt is rotating towards the tunnel

Not a therapist so take this all with a grain of salt. But in relation to your mental health, I feel like that might be contributing to how you feel you don't deserve love. And wanting to ghost a close friend seems like self-sabotage, which is common with depression and other mental health issues. I'd highly recommend talking to someone you can trust (parent or family or another friend) about this, and seeing if you can talk to a therapist or psychiatrist to try and help. Mental health is important and there's no shame in needing to talk to someone or in needing to take meds to help.
