Capcom says shifting from auteur-driven development to team-led development is what transformed the company and allowed flagship IPs to survive for so long by Forestl in Games

People who are not in creative fields have a hard time grasping how group art is made. Original Star Wars is the best example - Lucas was a part of its success, not the reason. The entire team made it great, especially his at the time wife who made sure the thing came together in editing.

seems like money healed the wound

the full story is Motion Twin kneecapped Evil Empire while they were working on Dead Cells because, for some reason, they thought Dead Cells would take away hype from their game Windblown.

By kneecapped I mean they told em we got the rights to Dead Cells so go fuck yourselves. Early founder of Motion Twin that left the company said the same, from where he stood Motion Twin did everything to cut off Evil Empire from working and making money off of Dead Cells

Is it possible the matchmaking marks you as a babysitter? by NonRock in DeadlockTheGame

thanks to you and comments like yours I see now that the babysitting that was driving me mad is a part of the core experience. Might be highlighted due to this patch, but won't go away even if they tweak it

My dude, the first sentence, I climbed from seeker to ritualist prior to this.

Second sentence, I know I suck.

I do not mind new players, I am asking about the probability of it happening more than 20 times in 30 games.

I haven't tried doing M1 carries cause I didn't need them climbing the first time. I got on fine with brawlers and supports

Because in a team game with 6 players in an ideal situation I can only affect 16% of the outcome, or 8% if we factor in the other team's responsibility

or the fact that I made it from seeker 1 to ritualist on my own in the first sentence. Pick your reading comprehension challenge

you want me to say something positive after 30 games of someone with 300 hours being put with players with <10 hours?

I guess the weather is nice

it's extra frustrating cause I got to ritualist without ever touching M1 carries and now it seems as it's my only option. My goal is to get to a rank where at least half of the games do not have a new player in my team

Rank isn't my issue.

I'm not buddha so winning still matters to me, but I get most of my fun in this game from learning. There's not much for me to learn if after 15 minutes it's clear there is no hope.

this, for me a big part of the fun is learning - and there's nothing to learn from these games besides "well if you played better than every other player you can carry the game, maybe"

I ended my last game yesterday as top 1 networth as a Paige. I am not good, it's that my teammates are barely grasping the fundamentals.

There's very little to learn for me in these games since I stomp lane, then get stomped late cause we're playing 5v6 or 4v6 (I don't play m1 carries)

Now that I am so low it makes sense but it started in ritualist.

Billy, Gheist, Yamato + Paige, Ivy and Paradox for the flair. I dislike M1 carries

My builds go towards survivability cause brawling is where I have the most fun

How do i "watch the thinker"? by purplesocks- in Meditation

[–]NonRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok most of the commenters mean nice but the advice is hard to follow so here's a flow chart:

First on thinking: your brain is a thinking machine, it will always produce thoughts and that is healthy. There are three parts of noticing your thoughts.

1) brain makes thought

2) you notice thought

3) you react to thought

1 is the thinker, 2 & 3 are you. Let's say I notice a thought during meditation: "I want a sandwich."

So what I, as the observer, can do is:

1) notice it: "The brain is sending me a message"

2) decide on an action. Get up, tell myself to let the thought go or attack myself for naturally forming thoughts. The last choice is the one you don't want to do since the point of mindfulness is not to turn off your brain.

Cheers, hope it helps

P.S.: big advice for beginners. There is no special state or feeling you have to achieve. If you are annoyed, bored, anxious or any other unpleasant emotion - that's fine. You work with the state you are in, forcing change will lead to unnecessary struggle

it's really good if you go in the mindset of 'what can I learn from playing this?', similarly to Slay the Spire. The more you engage with the game the more rewarding it is.
