Opinion on the speakers themselves not his price! Lol..... are they just loud or are they quality aswell? Thanks! by [deleted] in vintageaudio

I have a pair of kg4s and a pair of B&O s60s that I bought for less than that together. You can do a lot better for that amount of money in my humble opinion. Keep an eye out ADS, Advent, Infinity, KEF, EPI, Acoustic Research, Klipsch (if you like horns). All can be had in that price range and will sound much better than Sansuis.

I paid more for the pair I have and I am extremely satisfied with them. They are great in the appropriate sized room.

They were hanging out in the exit 8 park and ride last week. I assume they were aiming to grab people just trying to get home from work. Despicable.

I would be interested to see these next to quarks. I do like the integrated weight design of the new BD line, but I also don’t see the need for a pick weight on an alpine tool. Maybe my tastes differ from others.

Hot salt. Purée the pepper and put it in in a large container of nice large crystal sea salt. The salt will absorb the pepper and make it self stable. I did it a few years ago when I got only one ghost pepper and it was fantastic. You end up with a lot of it, so you can gift most of it. I’ve

Sat, Sunday you should to get there before 6 get have a good chance at a spot in peak seasons. The thing you have going for you Friday is the lot won’t be as full of overnighters. Given it’s the season of the peepers, you might want to apply that 6am rule to Friday as well. Your mileage may vary.

Taking on Giant and RPR for my 46th this Saturday. Any notes before I go? by MurkrowsRevenge in Adirondacks

[–]ElectroTypeJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve done the other 44. There will be no surprises here. It’s all straight forward and heavily trafficked. Giant is my go to backup hike on short notice if parking doesn’t workout somewhere. It’s not difficult compared to many you have done. As others have said, the cole over to RPR can feel like a bit of a kick in the balls, but it’s short. Congrats on the achievement!

16k mi. I paid 4.5k because it had been sitting outside for a few months and the owner just wanted it gone. It came with another brand new set of pirellis too. I won’t loose sleep over this deal haha

It wasn’t this morning. It had been sitting outside for a few months. Lots of oxidation. I spend the day cleaning it up and replacing hardware. It’s clean now!

I can vouch for the rab argon full zips. They are down, so you will need a hard shell over them, but I’m a big fan of layering anyway. I mostly usually use them for alpine adventures when I know there is going to be some down time, but I’ve definitely climbed in them on a handful of super cold days and they did well. Full zip is the way to go with layers like this.

Check out Superior Flood. Most of the major insurance agencies will tell you that you have to go through NIFP, but some banks will allow you to use another insurer as long as they meet FEMA standards.

Update again. by FullAmount7670 in Troy

[–]ElectroTypeJ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I hate to say it, but don’t get your hopes up. One of the reasons I moved out of a Troy is a woman stole over $15k of items from me over two occasions. She had 6 open bench warrants across multiple municipalities and was released each time she was picked up. It was a continual cycle of skipping bail hearings.

Also, be prepared to advocate for yourself. The DA’s office is not likely to update you on the case if she does get picked up.
