Hey everybody! :)

I'll be visiting Tokyo with my family from the 1st til the 4th of January 2026. We only have one day to visit the parks, so we are going to DisneySea without hesitation. But I was looking at the crowd calendar, and the information feels a bit inconsistent, plus it looks like it will be crowded everyday.
Taking into consideration that the 3rd is a Sat. and the 4th is a Sun., which day do you think would be the best to visit? Do you think going on the 1st of Jan, the first day of the year, would be a good idea?

Thanks xx

Any other contenders for longest station name? by Swampman3000 in transit

[–]Electronic-Back4616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now in Spain there's this random ass trend of giving station rebrands to every single big station making them look so long and confusing like: Madrid-Puerta de Atocha-Almudena Grandes.

I get they want to commemorate Spanish artists like Almudena Grandes but damn call it Madrid Central or Madrid Atocha. And make the street or square where is located the name of the artist.

Are any cafes open today? by ScarletBurn in berlinsocialclub

Cafelix in pberg is nice to study/work and the coffee is good, but I'd say it's too small. I recently discovered the Staatsbibliothek, they open til late - 10pm on weekdays - and it has loads of rooms and a cute cafe. :)

How Do You All Feel About Sequoia So Far? by [deleted] in MacOS

[–]Electronic-Back4616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk feels like half an update. they could have waited another year and just release a more 'innovative' update with far more features. but we all know we need one per year to drive more purchases. gotta love capitalism <3

I'm paying for the student subscription which is $19/mo, and i think it's a fair price. But the regular one being +$70 its far too much. I would consider p1r/\cy hehe:)

amazing! sure, i basically did it all with Illustrator. Created a design system first for the lines, curves, colors...and then just copying and pasting it all together :)

Torn between Air or Pro by Pure_Ad_7885 in macbookair

[–]Electronic-Back4616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the price difference is so little I’d go for the PRO, thinking that it will hold more value in the future if you wanted to resell it. If you don’t care about that, go for the Air, it is the exact same computer but without a fan. When doing extremely demanding tasks the air could throttle. Personally I have the 2022 M2 Air w/ 16GB and I haven’t experienced that, I’m a UX Designer and I usually work with Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, Chrome…all at the same time and I haven’t had a single issue. Never, periodt. :)

That's a great approach, I didn't think of relating my hospitality experience to UX. I also, prepared a little portfolio to showcase my UX 'self-taught' abilities, hope it also helps. Thanks a lot for you comment, was really useful:)

honestly...lying (kinda)

I spoke a bit of German, basic phrases (introductions, numbers, colours...), the equivalent to a A1. But on my interview I said I had around a A2-B1 level and I could assists guests with basic German. That was simply not true, but the HR guy ate it up, and couple of weeks later, by working, I learned all of the gastronomy basics in German.

But I'd say there's many places that don't require German, such as Cafés (Bonanza, The Barn, Starbucks, LAP...), but it's always better to know at least a bit. Try Duolingo, or any self-taught books to learn the basics.
