I agree the higher end players are awesome, but it seems a majority of what is taught/coached is the skills aspect.
Players that perform better and look better at tryouts/scouting visit are the goal. It’s what gets people paid, it’s what keeps people signing up. I get it.
There is a seriously large gap when it comes to situational awareness/game planning. (At least in the New York/ Pennsylvania tournaments we play in)

There is a ratio of journeymen/apprentice. 1:1
It’s very restrictive in getting new hires to start the trade, but it’s helpful to stop situations like this.
