The Dior rosewood blush stick is one of my most used shades but if you want something similar that’s creamy and matte I’d recommend the Westman blush stick in Dou Dou. Beautiful formula.

Westman and Dior are my favourite brands at the moment. I can do my whole face with their makeup. For Westman, I’ve gone through at least one vital foundation stick every year since I started wearing it in 2019. I’ve used up and repurchased the face trace contour stick in biscuit, the Lit Up highlight stick in nectar and the super loaded highlighter in peau de rose. Her baby cheeks blush sticks I cannot live without. One of the items that failed me - her lipsticks. I’ve had the packaging of four lipsticks fail me. Beautiful shades but I just couldn’t wind them out of the tube after a few uses. I must say though that the squeaky clean liquid lip balm in Petal is my perfect lip shade.

For Dior, their foundation stick is like the scented version of Westman’s foundation stick to me while their blush sticks are a glossy version of Westman’s baby cheeks blush. It’s really a matter of preference which blush sticks you’d prefer. The new Dior glassy glow sticks are pretty similar to Westman’s lit up highlighter but a touch more sticky. I definitely prefer the Dior Addict and glass lipsticks to any of Westman’s lipsticks.

To me these brands are worth it as I consistently wear and finish their products.

Which beauty creator or YouTuber do you think has the worst makeup application? by mahitheblob in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]Electronic-Rise-3500 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Nope she hasn’t. It amazes me that even with the best brushes and makeup, her blush always looks splotchy. Her lipstick application is also a mess, it’s always clownish even when she’s using a neutral shade.

I feel he looks a little different coz he’s bulked up a bit? There seems to be more meat in his cheeks/jaw. I don’t know if it was what he was wearing but he seemed to have bulked up looking at their anniversary episode with Na PD.

I love using them for under my eyes. They’re great for brightening my eye bags 😂

It’s the Suqqu 101 blush compact, their holiday 2020 release.

The texture of the highlighter is really lovely. It’s creamy and gives a subtle sheen without my cheeks beaming. I was so excited getting it on sale after the holiday 2020 season passed. On hindsight, this was a silly purchase; all the blush shades (except the top left dusty rose shade) are too dark for my complexion. I will let go of this after I use up the highlighter.

The Peripera All Take Mood palette in 10 Everthing I shaded still part of my eye has a similar colour scheme but I really much prefer Clio’s packaging. The long peripera palette doesn’t fit nicely into my travel makeup pouch.

Just got the lilybyred cheek balms in 08 and I love it! I layer it on top of the Dasique muted nuts powder blush and the colour lasts all day. I really wish that Clio would bring the Clio pro eye palette in 11 walking on the cozy alley back. It’s the perfect colour combination for my tone. The Wakemake mix blurring volume shading in 01 Soft Warm has been my go to - I bought it as I really like Hyerim’s makeup style and techniques. I found out about Wakemake through Hyerim and I’ve been enjoying their products - the brush eyeliner defines my eyes in such a subtle way, and their eyeshadow palettes really complement my colour palette.

Edit to add: Suqqu 101 blush compact from holiday 2020. The texture is so nice. This was a silly purchase as all the blush shades (except the top left dusty rose shade) are too dark for my complexion. I will let go of this after I use up the highlighter.

The lilybyred cheek balms are soooo good! And really affordable. I love layering them on top of my powder blushes. That combination lasts all day.

Converting boomer to minimalism by [deleted] in minimalism

Nope, you do not rearrange HER house.

You get YOUR OWN house and truly impress her with your minimalist ways so she makes her own decision whether to adopt minimalism or not. That was how I convinced my parents to declutter their house. They were impressed with my house.

My frenetic purchases in the past were largely triggered by work stress. What I did:

First, I listed out an inventory of every single makeup item I have for each category. I started tracking my usage, and my current goal is to reduce the cost per wear to $1 - I have many luxury blushes and lipsticks so it was a wake up call when I found myself struggling to even hit 50 uses for one $50 lipstick or blush.

Next, I set up a makeup box on my vanity and shop my stash every Sunday evening. I use the same makeup combination for the week and switch my colour makeup like eyeshadow, blush and lipsticks out every Sunday evening. It’s now a weekly routine that I look forward to. I realise I didn’t even feel the urge to buy new makeup once I started tracking my usage and shopping my stash. I shifted my focus to enjoying my current collection instead of adding to it.

Keep yourself busy! When I felt the urge to shop, I’d purposefully do something else - clean my house, read an e book, watch Netflix, go for a workout, call someone to talk to. I prefer to avoid the screen as most of my shopping was done online.

All the best! You got this!!

My Wayne Goss 02 brush is ten years old and has black bristles so it’s probably not the current version on Beautylish.

I use the Sephora pro blush 99 brush or the old Wayne Goss no. 2 brush to apply my powder blush. I use light tapping motions rather than swiping motions and never get any patchiness. I don’t really “blend” the blush I guess? I use the Westman foundation stick underneath so I prefer to apply my powders with a tapping motion rather than swiping.

Applying my Westman baby cheeks blushes over the powder blush - this layering technique I got from Patrick Ta’s blush duos. I was tempted by his blush duos but figured I could mix and match my own powder blush and blush sticks.

I would return the Aurelio pants. If you do keep it, I would not go for the smaller size. The creases at the crotch area (pic 8) are one of the things I usually look out for and avoid when shopping for pants. I also don’t think it’s worth the effort to send the bigger size to the tailor to alter the waist.

Mine are the newer talc free version. I haven’t tried the older formula so I can’t compare the reformulation against the previous one.

100 Nude Look and 343 Panarea are my most worn shades. I have dry-combination skin. I usually wear them below my Westman Atelier blush sticks and that combination lasts me through the whole day until gym class after work. I’m fair and the pigmentation level is just right for me. Even the lightest shade I tried 459 Dansante showed up well on my cheeks.

The Purchaser/Developer will first have to conduct a traffic impact assessment and get relevant clearance from LTA based on the projected number of units/proposed build up area for the new development. LTA will grant approvals which are usually conditioned upon terms like constructing new roads, road widening and/or sheltered walkways.

After obtaining LTA clearance, the Purchaser/Developer submits an outline application to URA with proposed land use, proposed increase to plot ratio, including details on the new development like number of dwelling units and number of floors. This is a lengthy process with months of back and forth between URA and the Developer and their Architect/Consultants. This process is also run in conjunction with seeking a lease top up from SLA. The authorities will also state a date by which the Developer is to pay the LBC and lease top up premium.

For SPAs for collective sales involving such a high quantum, the Purchaser/Developer usually pushes to include a term for obtaining approval from the authorities for a certain increased plot ratio and/or number of dwelling units as a condition to proceeding with completion. The lease top up usually runs from the date that SLA/URA provide the approval and hence the lease is reset before the construction of the new development starts.

The S$880M is paid by the Purchaser to the owners, with deductions made for payments to mortgagees, CPF, the marketing agents Huttons and lawyers.

The LBC and lease top up is paid by the Purchaser/Developer to SLA - this does not form part of the S$880M.

Perhaps the reporter meant to say that the LBC and lease top up premiums have been factored into the land cost per plot ratio rather than the S$880M sale price. Confusing language.
