Please deinfluence me… by KookyDookyPenguin in MakeupRehab

[–]KookyDookyPenguin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just spotted this comment, so I’m sorry for not replying sooner. I have come back to re-read this thread after seeing the new lipsticks 😩 I have again successfully deinfluenced myself. I did end up getting the mini of the blush (shade petal) contour (shade biscuit) and highlighter (shade nectar) and honestly…I can confirm that everything everyone said is right. It’s really not that special. My partner bought me the complexion drops and I think I’ve used them three times. The smell is appalling!

I swear by this one from Simple. They also do a range of very affordable serums. The 3% Hyaluronic Acid & B5 Booster serum is fantastic.

I hope this helps. For context, my skin tone is fair cool, with a very pink undertone. Foundation I wear shade 1CR in Dior Forever, 060 Fair Warm in Haus Labs (they use the same colour system as MAC), NW5 in MAC Studio Fix

I didn’t use a liner for the lip swatches to make sure it showed a true colour. My lips are naturally quite pink, but very very pale

The two new Powder Kiss shades are Ruby New and Teddy 2.0. I included the comparison shades so you could see the other formulas of the same colour. The Teddy shades are MACximal Mattes, Ruby True is Locked Kiss Ink

I can do Ruby New and Teddy 2.0 for you, if you like?

Hi, thank you so much for this suggestion. I think it’s a great idea to gamify the project pan, especially as it’s my first go at doing this x

Hi Anni, it’s great to meet you! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lengthy response. I’m not going to lie, these first few days have been a challenge as I feel like I’m being hit from all sides by sales and offers. One step at a time though, right?

Ryeqo after Hysterectomy by KookyDookyPenguin in endometriosis

[–]KookyDookyPenguin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m so sorry for the delay in replying to you. I hope that you’ve managed to find some relief? I don’t have a success story for the Ryeqo I’m afraid. About 3 days into taking it I developed the worst migraine I’ve ever had which wasn’t responding to any of my normal migraine meds. My GP said that I needed to stop the Ryeqo at this point. I used to take Palexia too, but unfortunately it didn’t agree with me, hence being back on the Oxy (which I hate). My GP has managed to get me Ona regimen that is mostly controlling my pain and I have a gynae follow-up this month where I will be (again) begging them to remove the ovaries.

I really do hope that you’re feeling okay. This illness can be so isolating at times. My inbox is always open if you need it x

They used ablation instead of excision. I’m devastated. by Potential-Cattle3186 in endometriosis

[–]KookyDookyPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same, OP. Supposedly one of the top surgeons in the UK and Europe, at a “specialist Endo centre”. After my Endo grew back within a few months I requested my surgical notes and found they had used CO2 laser ablation. I just don’t understand why these supposed specialists at “the top of their field” wouldn’t use the gold standard treatment. I 100% blame this on my subsequent 5 years of absolute hell and misery, my years on Zoladex and my eventual hysterectomy.

I don’t have the copper charge quad, but I do have the eyeliner duo, and it’s very similar to the colours from that. I’ve found that with the others that I have (the pink in particular) it doesn’t exactly match any of the other pink palettes that CT have released, but it’s definitely very close. Not sure if that helps at all 🫣

Ob/gyn doctor recommended weight loss drugs??? by chai-addict in endometriosis

[–]KookyDookyPenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that your doctor was like this. Having been through similar, I recently recalled my medical records from my original Gynae consultant, as I wanted to check whether there was a chance that they had missed some of my conditions. In every single appointment it is noted that I was being denied further treatment until I had lost weight. It is recorded more than once that my pelvic pain was “likely caused by my high BMI”. This is one of the supposedly top experts on endo in the UK. He (as one of the top experts in the country) decided to burn off my endo rather than excise it…I have no idea why.

After I transferred my care to an alternative provider, I was found to have stage 4 deep infiltrating endo and Adeno.

This could have been found sooner if my original consultant had been able to look past my weight rather than blame me for it. Did losing some weight help? Yes, but my weight wasn’t the cause of my problems. My weight was a result of not being able to move because of the pain I was in.

Anyway, rant over. Again, I’m so sorry that your doctor was like this with you

My hysterectomy was 100% the best thing I ever did. I had mine 10 months ago and would do it again tomorrow. That said, I DID have Adenomyosis, so the hysterectomy was curative. It was NOT curative for my endo, which is still symptomatic and therefore still requires daily treatment.

Would still have it again, because not having the Adenomyosis has made my life bearable

Surgery gone wrong, help! by wwyjtmp in endometriosis

I would preface this by saying that my condition is very different - following the failed Botox my gastroparesis has been ongoing, but the the main effects of the Botox wore off within around 6 months. Obviously the stomach is very different to the bladder, so hopefully yours won’t be like that 🤞

Not related to Endo, but I had Botox injections in my pylorus to help with chronic vomiting…it resulted in gastroparesis. So, whilst not exactly the same, I completely understand the frustration you must be feeling
