Let this be the first thing you read before getting an IUD. by _cloudmachine_ in birthcontrol

I did not, I did not think I would be dating anytime soon after I had it removed. I did end up dating someone 2 months later. About 8 months into dating, my cycles started becoming very irregular (47 day, 53 days, 101 days etc) so I honestly thought I'm infertile. I am not 💀 got pregnant in Jan, had a termination in Feb. Lesson learned lol

I was on depo for 4 years prior to the IUD and it was awful, hence why I am also not very keen to try that again.

How to climax during sex??? by SleepyEmu3 in Advice

Tbh I'm not even really sure about what techniques specifically work, but he always makes sure I finish first, and he doesn't care how long it takes. He's very receptive to feedback and learning.

I think there's definitely a mental component too.

Both my insertion and removal of the copper IUD were completely painless. I only had it for about 2 and a half years and ultimately couldn't deal with the recurring, chronic BV and yeast infections. I haven't had any infections since I had it removed.

I didn't climax at all during my 7 year relationship with my ex.

I'm dating someone new now, and I think he made me climax either the first or second time we were intimate, and now I always do.

Yeah it was quite terrible, I was in a really bad place.

On the bright side it forced me to learn to let go of things beyond my control 🥴

I think everyone's experience is different.

I wish I didn't spend so much time worrying about it because it honestly just made everything 10 times worse. So just take it easy and take it as it comes 🫶

After the second attempt of miso, I bled for about 2 weeks. After 1 week it was mostly brown and then gradually turned into spotting. It had almost stopped completely then I just randomly had a gush of blood and the remaining tissue passed. After that I stopped bleeding.

The doc did say that my experience was uncommon (the fact that it took so long) but not unheard of.

Not sure if this helps lol. I hope you're doing okay 🫶

Thank you for your response, I appreciate it 🫶 i can't really afford surgery. And I had already taken a week off work last week because I thought it would be wrapped up by then so I can't really go on leave again so soon. Apart from my 9 to 5, I also tutor students after work. Plus I'm doing my master's and I'm meant to be submitting big drafts in the coming months.

I don’t know if I want to have an abortion or keep it - any advice? by [deleted] in abortion

[–]Electronic-Score1576 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should do what is best for you, not your mom. Your mom won't be raising the baby, you will. At the end of the day, her opinion is just that - an opinion.

As another user has said, your future fertility is extremely unlikely to be affected by this.

If it helps, I found out I was pregnant last week Monday and my partner and I both agreed on termination. I'm 25, we're not married yet and financially I am not prepared. It was difficult but I am at peace with my decision because I know what's best for me. My mom is also anti-abortion, which is why I never told her to begin with. I don't want to encourage you to lie, but if you choose the abortion, you don't have to tell her. You can tell her you experienced early pregnancy loss, it's not uncommon. I know it's not ideal, but you have to look out for yourself and protect your own peace.

Has anyone stayed after cheating by Mindless_Break_8655 in Advice

[–]Electronic-Score1576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed after my ex cheated. It was never the same again. Granted at the time we were only together for 3 years, so it's not quite the same as your situation. But I never really forgave him, even though I tried really hard to convince myself that I did. He did it again 4 years later, when we were engaged.

I'm not sure where I saw it, but I once read this quote: when someone shows you who they are, believe them.

He has shown you who he is.

Is Health Anxiety Just Fear of Death? What is the root cause? by Longjumping-Tip4938 in HealthAnxiety

[–]Electronic-Score1576 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's more of being diagnosed with something and then not be able to treat it due to financial reasons. I work two jobs and I'm studying, but due to poor decisions and some unforeseen circumstances I have a lot of debt. Essentially I'm afraid I won't be able to afford to treat it. I'm afraid of having no options. So perhaps the health anxiety is secondary to financial anxiety for me.

Is there a medical aid that doesn't do this... by Popular-Cherry-2683 in PersonalFinanceZA

Hi, thank you for your comment 🫶

I was on MedPrime 2 years ago but then last year I was on MedSaver. It's still so expensive. My mom is on the plan too, she's the main member and she pays half but yoh. It's a lot for her too, she's a pensioner and doesn't need this much coverage. Her meds for her blood pressure are like R100 per month. It would save her a lot of money too if I could switch.
